Bike racks
A low-poly street bike rack: four white steel Sheffield hoops on a paving slab with grass strips between the bays. Two terracotta planter boxes with shrubs sit at the ends, and vines from them climb the end hoops.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Bike racks for the Solarpunk Garden City kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Solarpunk Garden City kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A green city of glass and vines. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: leaf green #3a883a, white #f4f1ec, terracotta #be5937, sky blue #2e67b8, leaf green dark #235223, white dark #d7cebc, leaf green light #5db15d, white light #f9f8f6, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `plantCoverage` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Plant coverage" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 4.65 m wide × 1.2 m deep × 0.95 m tall overall. Each hoop is 0.85 m tall and 0.75 m long, made of 60 mm tube, and the hoops are spaced 0.85 m apart. The planter boxes are 0.5 × 1.0 m and 0.56 m tall. The hoops run front to back, so bikes park along ±Z on either side of each hoop. The origin is the bottom centre of the footprint, resting on y = 0, with the front facing +Z. The GLB has 3,644 triangles in 22 meshes (merged per part and colour) and no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour, and all 12 colours are used. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name can appear on several materials: recolour by name. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults; they only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer, and only the defaults were rendered and checked. plantCoverage (the kit's 'Plant coverage') sets the width of the grass strips and how many tufts they carry, the shrub count and size, the blossoms, the spire height, how far the vines climb the end hoops (over the top bend at high values) and the trailing vines on the planter fronts. glb-lint: 0 errors and 3 warnings. Two are about material count and duplicate materials, and both come from the per-mesh materials. The third is a heuristic about overlaps where kerb, grass, windows and soil are deliberately nested. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires; three-check accepts those ids and all 6 survive the GLB reload.
About the Bike racks 3D model
Bike racks is a free low-poly 3D model from the Solarpunk Garden City set. It measures 4.7 m × 95 cm × 1.2 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 3,644 triangles across 22 meshes, with 6 named parts. Download the 229 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Bike racks 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 229 KB: 3,644 triangles, 7,890 vertices and 22 materials, modelled in metres at 4.7 m × 95 cm × 1.2 m.
- Can I animate Bike racks?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 6 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Bike racks 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
