Lighthouse
A low-poly 18.9 m harbour lighthouse for the Shipping Port kit. A tapering octagonal warm-white tower with sea-blue day-mark bands stands on a stepped concrete plinth, with an entrance porch, a railed gallery and an open lantern room around a yellow lens.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Lighthouse for the Shipping Port kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Shipping Port kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Containers, cranes and salt air. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: container colours #988e81, steel grey #757e8a, sea blue #2e67b8, yellow #eecd2b, container colours dark #70685c, steel grey dark #525860, container colours light #b6b3af, steel grey light #a3a5a8, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `containerColoursAndLogos` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Container colours and logos" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at the defaults: 18.9 m tall to the lightning-rod tip. The plinth is a 7.0 m octagon across the flats, 0.6 m high in two steps. The shaft is 13 m tall and tapers from 4.4 m across the base corners to 3.1 m at the top. The gallery deck sits at 14.5 m and the lantern room's glazing frame runs from 15.2 m to 16.9 m. The origin is on the tower axis at the plinth's underside, and the model rests on y = 0. The door, porch and front step face +Z. The 0.4 m front step makes the footprint 0.2 m off-centre in z. The GLB has 1,360 triangles in 20 meshes, is static and carries no animation clip. Normals are baked flat (non-indexed). Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour. At the default, 11 of the 12 colours are used: 'container colours' only appears at knob values below 0.33. The lantern is an open frame with no glass, so the yellow lens reads as the light. There is no emissive material or beam. containerColoursAndLogos (the kit's 'Container colours and logos') picks the day-mark band colour along the kit ramp: container colours below 0.33, sea blue up to 0.67, then yellow. From 0.25 the porch hood and lantern cap take the band colour, and from 0.75 the gallery railing turns yellow. The lighthouse carries no logos or text. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults, and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Both extremes rendered and passed three-check: all-min (8 m shaft, no bands, taper 0.5) and all-max (22 m shaft, 4 bands, straight column). glb-lint: 0 errors and 6 heuristic warnings, all expected. They cover more than 10 materials and duplicate names (one material per mesh per part), non-indexed flat shading, band courses and windows nested in the shaft, the porch hood, door lintel and gallery reported 'detached' because they attach to meshes in other parts, and the scale check for a subject taller than 1 m. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen. The same plan passes with the slug de-hyphenated. three-check and the GLB keep all 10 ids. One fix round, visual only: the day-mark bands were moved down off the gallery head, and the views were framed looser so the plinth clears the viewer controls.
About the Lighthouse 3D model
Lighthouse is a free low-poly 3D model from the Shipping Port set. It measures 7.0 m × 19 m × 7.4 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,360 triangles across 20 meshes, with 10 named parts. Download the 148 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Lighthouse 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 148 KB: 1,360 triangles, 4,080 vertices and 20 materials, modelled in metres at 7.0 m × 19 m × 7.4 m.
- Can I animate Lighthouse?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 10 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Lighthouse 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
