Forklifts' pallets

A low-poly yellow counterbalance forklift for the Shipping Port kit, carrying a strapped carton load on a wooden block pallet. It has an overhead guard, a steel mast with a carriage and forks, and a heavy rear counterweight.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Forklifts' pallets for the Shipping Port kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Shipping Port kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Containers, cranes and salt air. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: container colours #988e81, steel grey #757e8a, sea blue #2e67b8, yellow #eecd2b, container colours dark #70685c, steel grey dark #525860, container colours light #b6b3af, steel grey light #a3a5a8, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `containerColoursAndLogos` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Container colours and logos" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at the defaults: 1.42 m wide (x) × 3.51 m long (z) × 2.2 m tall (mast top; the overhead guard is 2.17 m). The forklift body is 2.02 m long and the ISO pallet is 1.2 × 1.0 m × 0.144 m. Two 0.36 m carton layers sit on the pallet. The forks point toward +Z. The origin is the bottom centre of the whole footprint (forklift plus pallet), and the four tyres rest on y = 0. The GLB has 1,854 triangles in 22 meshes, one mesh per part and colour. It is static and carries no animation clip. Normals are baked flat (non-indexed). Every material is named exactly after the kit palette colour it uses; 10 of the 12 colours appear at the default. containerColoursAndLogos (the kit's 'Container colours and logos') sets the carton colour: container colours light, then warm white, sea blue (the default at 0.5), container colours, and steel grey light. Straps are sea blue, or warm white on blue cartons. Yellow is never used for cartons, so the load does not blend into the chassis. liftHeight raises the carriage, forks, pallet and load together. loadLayers sets 0–3 carton layers; at 0 there are no straps. mastHeight changes the mast and lift cylinders. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults, and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Only the default build was rendered and checked; the param extremes were not. glb-lint: 0 errors and 6 heuristic warnings, all expected: one material per mesh (so 20 material entries for 10 colours) and identical duplicates, non-indexed flat shading, intended nesting (axles inside the chassis, the counterweight overlapping the chassis back), 'detached' parts because each part is one merged mesh, and a height of 2.2 m against the 1 m reference. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen. The same plan passes with the slug de-hyphenated. three-check and the GLB keep all 15 ids. A separate shipping-port-pallets asset covers stacked pallets on their own, so this part is modelled as the forklift that carries them.

About the Forklifts' pallets 3D model

Forklifts' pallets is a free low-poly 3D model from the Shipping Port set. It measures 1.4 m × 2.2 m × 3.5 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,564 triangles across 20 meshes, with 15 named parts. Download the 168 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Forklifts' pallets 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 168 KB: 1,564 triangles, 4,692 vertices and 20 materials, modelled in metres at 1.4 m × 2.2 m × 3.5 m.
Can I animate Forklifts' pallets?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 15 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Forklifts' pallets 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
