Grass plain tiles
A low-poly 4 × 4 m Savanna ground tile: gently rolling golden sward with fountain clumps of tall savanna grass, a few green clumps, a worn patch of red earth and some grey stones. Every edge is flat, so copies tile seamlessly in every direction.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Grass plain tiles for the Savanna kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. Make it a ground piece on an exact 4 × 4 m footprint with flat edges at y = 0 that tile seamlessly with its neighbours in every direction; origin at the tile centre. This is one part of the Savanna kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Golden grass and big animals. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: straw gold #d0a225, acacia green #3a883a, earth red #c32222, dusk purple #572e6b, straw gold dark #8f7019, acacia green dark #235223, straw gold light #debd63, acacia green light #5db15d, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `dryOrWetSeason` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Dry or wet season" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: exactly 4.00 × 4.00 m, about 1.16 m tall at the tallest grass tip. The bottom rests on y = 0, the origin is at the tile centre and the front faces +Z. A 0.05 m dark-wood soil bed carries the sward, which is at exactly 0.10 m at every border. How it tiles: the ground rolls fade to that height within 0.6 m of every edge, so all four edges are flat and meet any neighbour flush, rotated copies included. Every grass blade is clamped to stay inside the footprint, and short tufts sit near the edges so seams do not read as bare strips. The GLB has 8,334 triangles in 12 meshes, is static and carries no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so 'dark wood', 'straw gold' and 'straw gold dark' each appear twice; recolour by name. dryOrWetSeason (the kit's 'Dry or wet season') has three sward steps: below 0.33 it is straw gold light over straw gold, 0.33–0.67 straw gold over straw gold dark (the default), and above 0.67 acacia green light over acacia green. It also turns a share of the tall clumps and tufts green (season², so 25% at the default, none at 0 and all at 1). Tiles at the same season setting match at the seams. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Only the defaults were rendered and checked. The viewer uses exposure 0.7 rather than the direction's 1.05 so the gold does not wash out; this does not affect the GLB. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 expected warnings: 12 materials > 10 and the duplicate materials (both from the per-mesh export), non-indexed geometry (kept on purpose for hard flat facets), overlapping sibling boxes (sward, patch plates and grass are nested by design), and 'stones' flagged as detached, although they are seated in the sward. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids (its regex allows no hyphen); the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 6 ids.
About the Grass plain tiles 3D model
Grass plain tiles is a free low-poly 3D model from the Savanna set. It measures 4.0 m × 1.2 m × 4.0 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 8,334 triangles across 12 meshes, with 6 named parts. Download the 607 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Grass plain tiles 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 607 KB: 8,334 triangles, 24,990 vertices and 12 materials, modelled in metres at 4.0 m × 1.2 m × 4.0 m.
- Can I animate Grass plain tiles?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 6 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Grass plain tiles 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
