Assembly building
A low-poly rocket assembly building for the Rocket Launch Site kit: a 60 m white high bay with a full-height orange-framed door slot, lift panels raised to show a rocket stacked on its mobile launcher, and a lower side wing with roller doors, on a concrete apron with the crawlerway.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Assembly building for the Rocket Launch Site kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Rocket Launch Site kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Countdown at the coast. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: white #f4f1ec, launch orange #ed7e1d, steel #7e8c9a, sky blue #2e67b8, white dark #d7cebc, launch orange dark #af590e, white light #f9f8f6, launch orange light #eea668, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `rocketDesign` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Rocket design" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at the defaults: the high bay is 44 m wide (x) × 38 m deep (z) × 60 m to the roof (61 m to the parapet), and the mast beacon tops out at 77.1 m. The low bay wing on the +X side is 26 m long × 30 m deep × 24 m tall. The apron is 78 m × 58 m and runs 16 m out in front of the door. The door slot is 16 m wide × 52 m tall and faces +Z. The rocket stands 32 m tall on a 4 m mobile launcher. The origin is at the bottom centre of the apron footprint, which rests on y = 0. The GLB has 2,624 triangles in 29 meshes, all 12 kit colours as named materials, flat (non-indexed) normals, and is static with no animation clip. rocketDesign (the kit's 'Rocket design') restyles the rocket in the slot. Below 0.33 it is a plain white core with soot-black bands and no boosters. Up to 0.67 it is white with orange bands and two strap-on boosters. Above that it is an orange core tank with white boosters. doorOpen telescopes the six lift panels upward. At 0 the rocket is hidden, and at the default 0.9 it shows in full. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Both all-min and all-max param sets were rendered and passed three-check (about 2.4k and 3.4k viewer triangles, including ~290 staging triangles). glb-lint: 0 errors and 6 heuristic warnings, all expected. They cover unindexed flat shading, overlapping nested trim boxes, rooftop plant reported 'detached' because it sits on the roof membrane of another part, and the scale check for a subject taller than 1 m. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids (its regex allows no hyphen); the same plan passes with the slug de-hyphenated. Fix rounds were visual: the side wall was rebuilt as one face to remove a hairline seam; the slot was made taller, the rocket shorter and the panels lift higher so the rocket shows in full; the back view was framed looser.
About the Assembly building 3D model
Assembly building is a free low-poly 3D model from the Rocket Launch Site set. It measures 78 m × 77 m × 58 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,624 triangles across 29 meshes, with 10 named parts. Download the 275 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Assembly building 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 275 KB: 2,624 triangles, 7,872 vertices and 29 materials, modelled in metres at 78 m × 77 m × 58 m.
- Can I animate Assembly building?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 10 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Assembly building 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
