Crawler transporter
A low-poly tracked crawler transporter that carries a rocket's mobile launcher to the pad. A white deck with an orange fascia and railing rides on four twin-track corner trucks, with operator cabs at opposite corners and treads that crawl in a seamless 10-second loop.

Left rail: colours and the 3 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Crawler transporter for the Rocket Launch Site kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Rocket Launch Site kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Countdown at the coast. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: white #f4f1ec, launch orange #ed7e1d, steel #7e8c9a, sky blue #2e67b8, white dark #d7cebc, launch orange dark #af590e, white light #f9f8f6, launch orange light #eea668, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `rocketDesign` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Rocket design" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 34.9 m wide (X) × 46.5 m long (Z, 40 m deck plus the two cabs hung off the deck ends) × 10.7 m tall to the exhaust stack tops. The deck top is 6.1 m above the ground at the defaults and the track trucks are 2.9 m tall. The front cab faces +Z, the origin is at the bottom centre, and the tread shoes rest on y = 0. No mobile launcher or rocket is included: the four orange pads are where the kit's launcher sits. Animation clip 'scene-motion' (10 s, seamless per node). Each of the 8 track loops has 24 shoes, and every shoe travels its whole loop once per clip, so every node ends where it started. The octagonal sprocket axles turn exactly 3 times about their axle centres, in step with the track. The cab beacons turn 4 times about their vertical swivels. The deck, belly, carriages, track frames and jacks never move. Shoes and sprockets are separate nodes under each truck (truck.<fl|fr|rl|rr>.shoe_01…24, .sprocket_front, .sprocket_rear), so the GLB has 158 meshes and goes over the direction's 100 draw-call guideline. Merge them if your engine needs fewer draw calls, but the track animation then has to be re-authored. The exported model has 6,204 triangles, flat normals baked in (non-indexed). Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour. 10 of the 12 kit colours are used (warm white and dark wood are not). The exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same colour name appears on several materials: recolour by name. rocketDesign (the kit's Rocket design knob) sizes the launcher support pads for the launcher they carry: they move from ±6.5 m to ±10.5 m from the centre and grow from 0.5 m to 1.3 m tall. jackLift raises the deck on its jacking cylinders (deck top 5.8 m to 6.6 m). railHeight sets the deck railing height. Params change geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer; the GLB is baked at the defaults. Both extremes (0, 0 m, 0.9 m) and (1, 0.8 m, 1.4 m) passed three-check. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 7 heuristic warnings, all expected. Material count, duplicate materials and draw calls come from the per-part, per-colour meshes and the animated shoe nodes. The geometry is unindexed on purpose for flat shading. The overlaps are designed seats: frames inside sprockets, and jacks, vents and trim set into their housings. 'Detached' flags trim and hubs attached to parts in other groups. The scale warning compares the model with a 1 m reference. The lint verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens that this library's slug-based ids need; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. The viewer renders at exposure 0.7 on a tinted ground disc; neither is part of the GLB.
About the Crawler transporter 3D model
Crawler transporter is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Rocket Launch Site set. It measures 35 m × 11 m × 47 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 6,204 triangles across 158 meshes, with 19 named parts and a baked animation (10.0 s). Download the 1.4 MB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Crawler transporter 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 1.4 MB: 6,204 triangles, 18,612 vertices and 158 materials, modelled in metres at 35 m × 11 m × 47 m.
- Is Crawler transporter animated?
- Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (10.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Crawler transporter 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
