Portable toilets

A low-poly festival portable toilet cabin with ribbed green walls, a hinged front door with handle and occupancy tab, a white peaked roof and a rear vent pipe. The interior (tank, seat lid and urinal) is modelled too, so it can be shown with the door open.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Portable toilets for the Music Festival kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Music Festival kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Stages, tents and mud. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: tie-dye #988e81, stage black #151619, grass green #3a883a, sunset orange #ed7e1d, tie-dye dark #70685c, stage black dark #090a0b, tie-dye light #b6b3af, stage black light #3a3c40, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `genre` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Genre" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: the walls are 1.12 m wide and 1.22 m deep. The skid base is 1.20 x 1.30 m and the roof overhang is 1.24 x 1.34 m. It is 2.39 m tall to the roof peak and 2.52 m to the vent-pipe cap. The door opening is 0.80 x 1.85 m. The origin is at the bottom centre, the skid rests on y = 0 and the door faces +Z. The GLB has 736 triangles in 52 meshes with no textures and no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same colour name repeats: recolour by name. At the default genre the model uses 8 palette colours; tie-dye replaces grass green on the walls at genre < 0.33. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults (green walls, door closed) and only change the model when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. genre (the kit's 'Genre') picks the wall colour band: tie-dye below 0.33, grass green from 0.33 to 0.67, sunset orange above. With orange walls the occupancy tab switches to grass green so it stays visible. doorOpen swings the door outward on its right-hand hinge up to 90 degrees and reveals the modelled interior. The door sits 1 cm above the floor tray, so when open its bottom edge hovers about 13 cm above the ground, like a real raised cabin floor. The defaults and two extreme combinations were rendered and checked. glb-lint: 0 errors and 4 heuristic warnings. Two are about material count and duplicates, both caused by the per-mesh materials. One flags the ribs, vent slats and door details as 'detached' because they sit flush on the wall faces in their own groups. One flags the 2.52 m height against a generic 1 m reference. The verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no host requirements contract was supplied. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires. With the ids substituted it passes. three-check accepts the real ids, and all 14 survive the GLB reload.

About the Portable toilets 3D model

Portable toilets is a free low-poly 3D model from the Music Festival set. It measures 1.2 m × 2.5 m × 1.4 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 736 triangles across 52 meshes, with 14 named parts. Download the 111 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Portable toilets 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 111 KB: 736 triangles, 1,349 vertices and 52 materials, modelled in metres at 1.2 m × 2.5 m × 1.4 m.
Can I animate Portable toilets?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 14 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Portable toilets 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
