Toy bins
A low-poly toy organiser for a child's bedroom: a sky-blue cubby frame with a butter top board holding nine open bins in coral, yellow and white, each with a low front and a hand-hole. Balls, blocks and a little car peek out of the bins, with a block tower and a ball on top.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Toy bins for the Kids' Bedroom kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Kids' Bedroom kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Toys, bunk beds and a fort. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: sky blue #2e67b8, sunshine yellow #eecd2b, coral #e2715a, white #f4f1ec, sky blue dark #1f457a, sunshine yellow dark #bda00f, sky blue light #6190d1, sunshine yellow light #f0db75, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `ageOfChild` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Age of child" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 0.98 m wide, 0.33 m deep frame (bins stand 3 cm proud, 0.37 m overall) and 0.90 m tall to the top board, or 1.1 m including the block tower on top. The origin is at the bottom centre on y = 0 and the bins face +Z. The GLB has 2,056 triangles in 28 meshes (merged per part and palette colour, flat normals baked) and no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour. 8 of the 12 are used; sunshine yellow dark, soot black, warm white and dark wood are not. Params are baked at export, so the GLB is the default build (3 × 3, fill 0.6). ageOfChild raises the row pitch from 0.24 to 0.30 m, deepens the frame from 0.30 to 0.36 m and scales the toys. columns (2–4) and rows (2–3) change the grid, and fill sets how many toys sit in each bin (0 = empty bins, no toys on top). Toy placement is seeded, so it is deterministic. plan-check's part-id regex rejects the hyphenated slug ids the library requires, so the plan was validated on a de-hyphenated copy (PASS); three-check accepts the hyphenated ids. glb-lint reports 0 errors. Its warnings are expected for this pipeline: per-part material instances, non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, bins nested in the frame, and the top board flagged as 'detached' because it is its own part (it rests on the frame sides).
About the Toy bins 3D model
Toy bins is a free low-poly 3D model from the Kids' Bedroom set. It measures 1.0 m × 1.1 m × 36 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,056 triangles across 28 meshes, with 15 named parts. Download the 169 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Toy bins 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 169 KB: 2,056 triangles, 6,168 vertices and 28 materials, modelled in metres at 1.0 m × 1.1 m × 36 cm.
- Can I animate Toy bins?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 15 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Toy bins 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
