Mobile

A low-poly crib mobile on a weighted stand. A blue pole curves over into an arm, and a turning wooden spoked frame below it carries a star, cloud, crescent moon, hot-air balloon and ringed planet on beaded strings.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Mobile for the Kids' Bedroom kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Kids' Bedroom kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Toys, bunk beds and a fort. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: sky blue #2e67b8, sunshine yellow #eecd2b, coral #e2715a, white #f4f1ec, sky blue dark #1f457a, sunshine yellow dark #bda00f, sky blue light #6190d1, sunshine yellow light #f0db75, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `ageOfChild` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Age of child" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: about 0.78 m wide (base to the far side of the frame's sweep), 0.56 m deep and 0.87 m tall to the top of the arm. The origin is at the bottom centre of the footprint on y = 0 and the front faces +Z; the arm reaches along +X. The GLB has 3,084 triangles in 28 meshes (merged per part and palette colour, flat normals baked) and one 12 s seamless clip, scene-motion. The frame turns once about the swivel axis, and each pendant twists and swings about its own hook at a spoke tip. The stand never moves. Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour. 9 of the 12 are used; white, warm white and sunshine yellow dark are not. Params are baked at export, so the GLB is the default build. ageOfChild raises the arm from 0.79 m to 0.91 m and shortens the strings by 7 cm, which lifts the toys out of reach as the baby grows. pendantCount 6 adds a coral heart. armRadius is widened automatically when needed so that neighbouring pendants stay at least 0.19 m apart (with 6 pendants, the minimum is 0.19 m). plan-check's part-id regex rejects the hyphenated slug ids the library requires, so the plan was validated on a de-hyphenated copy (PASS); three-check accepts the hyphenated ids. glb-lint reports 0 errors. Its warnings are expected for this pipeline: per-part material instances, non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, and spoke-tip beads nested in the frame's box.

About the Mobile 3D model

Mobile is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Kids' Bedroom set. It measures 75 cm × 87 cm × 56 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 3,084 triangles across 28 meshes, with 8 named parts and a baked animation (12.0 s). Download the 290 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Mobile 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 290 KB: 3,084 triangles, 9,252 vertices and 28 materials, modelled in metres at 75 cm × 87 cm × 56 cm.
Is Mobile animated?
Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (12.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Mobile 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
