Play tent
A low-poly child's play teepee with white and sky-blue striped panels, dark-wood poles crossed at a coral tie, and a front door whose yellow flaps are folded back to show a floor mat and cushions inside. A bunting band and coral hem finish it for the Kids' Bedroom kit.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Play tent for the Kids' Bedroom kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Kids' Bedroom kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Toys, bunk beds and a fort. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: sky blue #2e67b8, sunshine yellow #eecd2b, coral #e2715a, white #f4f1ec, sky blue dark #1f457a, sunshine yellow dark #bda00f, sky blue light #6190d1, sunshine yellow light #f0db75, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `ageOfChild` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Age of child" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: a hexagonal footprint about 1.22 m across the corners (fabric hem radius 0.61 m), with the poles crossing at 1.5 m and the pole tips and pennant reaching 1.73 m. Origin is the bottom centre on y = 0, and the door faces +Z. The GLB has 652 triangles in 13 meshes (merged per part and palette colour, flat normals baked) and no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour. At the defaults, 6 of the 12 are used; 'sky blue light' appears only with an odd side count. Params are baked at export, so the GLB is the default build. ageOfChild sizes the tent from 1.3 m to the crossing (base radius 0.5 m) up to 1.7 m (0.65 m). sides sets the pole and panel count, doorOpen sets the width of the door opening and its folded flaps, and poleExtension sets how far the poles stick out past the tie. plan-check's part-id regex rejects the hyphenated slug ids the library requires, so the plan was validated on a de-hyphenated copy (PASS); three-check accepts the hyphenated ids. glb-lint reports 0 errors. Its warnings are expected for this pipeline: per-part material instances, non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, flaps and bunting nested on the canopy, and the pole tie flagged as 'detached' because the poles pass through it from a sibling part.
About the Play tent 3D model
Play tent is a free low-poly 3D model from the Kids' Bedroom set. It measures 1.2 m × 1.7 m × 1.1 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 652 triangles across 13 meshes, with 7 named parts. Download the 58 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Play tent 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 58 KB: 652 triangles, 1,956 vertices and 13 materials, modelled in metres at 1.2 m × 1.7 m × 1.1 m.
- Can I animate Play tent?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 7 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Play tent 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
