Loft ladder
A low-poly hook-on ladder for a children's loft or top bunk, with sunshine yellow stiles, flat sky blue treads with grip strips, mid grey hooks that hang over the bed rail, and upright grab handles with coral caps.

Left rail: colours and the 3 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Loft ladder for the Kids' Bedroom kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Kids' Bedroom kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Toys, bunk beds and a fort. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: sky blue #2e67b8, sunshine yellow #eecd2b, coral #e2715a, white #f4f1ec, sky blue dark #1f457a, sunshine yellow dark #bda00f, sky blue light #6190d1, sunshine yellow light #f0db75, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `ageOfChild` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Age of child" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at the default: about 0.52 m wide (x), 0.63 m deep (z) including the hooks, and 1.85 m tall to the top of the grab-handle caps. The hooks top out at 1.50 m, the height of the loft rail they hang over, and they fit a rail up to about 0.08 m thick. The ladder leans back at 74° with its climbing face towards +Z and its hooks reaching back towards -Z. The origin is at the bottom centre of the footprint and the feet rest on y = 0. It has 5 flat treads spaced 0.25 m apart; the loft deck is the last step. The exported model has 444 triangles in 9 meshes (merged per part and colour) and no animation clip. Normals are baked flat (non-indexed). It uses 8 of the 12 kit colours, and every material is named exactly after its palette colour. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. ageOfChild (the kit's 'Age of child') runs from a junior loft (hooks at 1.30 m, 0.36 m between stiles, 5 treads) to a full loft (hooks at 1.70 m, 0.44 m, 6 treads). leanAngle sets the lean from 64° to 84°. treadDepth sets the tread depth from 0.06 m (rung-like) to 0.14 m (step-like). The param extremes were checked by reading the geometry limits, not by a capture. The ladder is a standalone lean-to piece: it needs a loft bed rail to hang on and is not freestanding. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 3 heuristic warnings: duplicate materials (the exporter writes one material per mesh, so recolour by name), unindexed geometry (deliberate flat shading), and sibling overlap (the collars, nosings and grip strips are embedded on purpose). plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens this library's slug-based ids need; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check accepts those ids, and all 5 survive the GLB reload.
About the Loft ladder 3D model
Loft ladder is a free low-poly 3D model from the Kids' Bedroom set. It measures 52 cm × 1.8 m × 63 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 444 triangles across 9 meshes, with 5 named parts. Download the 39 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Loft ladder 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 39 KB: 444 triangles, 1,332 vertices and 9 materials, modelled in metres at 52 cm × 1.8 m × 63 cm.
- Can I animate Loft ladder?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 5 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Loft ladder 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
