Industrial Robot Arm

A six-axis industrial robot arm in safety orange on a bolted steel floor pedestal, with motor housings at every joint, cable harnesses routed along the arm, a three-axis wrist and a pneumatic two-finger gripper. It plays a seamless 12-second pick-and-place loop, carrying a steel billet back and forth between two floor stations.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

A six-axis industrial robot arm in safety orange on a floor pedestal: cast base, shoulder, upper arm and forearm with motor housings, cable harnesses routed along the arm, wrist with three axes, a pneumatic two-finger gripper, warning labels as raised plates (no text). It performs a pick-and-place motion with correct joint pivots in a baked seamless loop.

Note: 144,480 triangles, 43 meshes (one per part per material role), indexed geometry, 3.9 MB GLB. The baked 12 s clip animates the six joint pivots, the finger slides and the billet, which is either held in the gripper or resting on a station pad. The joints are solved with inverse kinematics so the tool always hangs vertical. Params are rebuild-time knobs: the GLB is the default configuration, and the station radius scales with arm length. Both extremes were checked and pass. Cables are rigid, one per link, and cross each joint at a rotary union on its axis, so nothing stretches. Warning plates are blank raised geometry with no text. Height is 1.7 m in the t = 0 pose. glb-lint has 0 errors; its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract is supplied. plan-check's part-id regex rejects hyphenated slugs, so the plan was verified on a de-hyphenated copy. The direction's 80k triangle budget is overridden in the plan for the Hero Props 100–150k brief.

About the Industrial Robot Arm 3D model

Industrial Robot Arm is a free animated technical 3D model from the Hero Props set. It measures 2.0 m × 1.7 m × 1.5 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 144,480 triangles across 43 meshes, with 14 named parts and a baked animation (12.0 s). Download the 3.7 MB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Industrial Robot Arm 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 3.7 MB: 144,480 triangles, 92,392 vertices and 43 materials, modelled in metres at 2.0 m × 1.7 m × 1.5 m.
Is Industrial Robot Arm animated?
Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (12.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Industrial Robot Arm 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
