Cuckoo Clock

A Black Forest cuckoo clock in lacquered walnut. It has a roof shingled with carved green leaves, a spread-wing bird on the ridge, a cream dial with raised Roman numerals and carved spade hands, and a leaf pendulum between two brass pine-cone weights. A seamless 4-second loop swings the pendulum while the doors open and the cuckoo pops out to bow three times.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

A Black Forest cuckoo clock: a chalet-shaped case with a carved roof of leaves, a bird on top, a dial with numerals as raised geometry and carved hands, a small door with the cuckoo, pendulum with a leaf bob, two pine-cone weights on chains. The pendulum swings and the cuckoo pops out in a baked seamless loop.

Note: Size: 0.40 m wide (X) × 0.23 m deep (Z) × 1.11 m tall at the defaults. The front faces +Z. The origin is at the bottom centre, and the two pine-cone tips rest on y = 0. It is a wall clock, so in a scene you hang it by lifting it until the back board meets your wall. The GLB has 118,670 triangles in 37 meshes, merged per part and material role, with smooth normals and indices. Across the param ranges the count runs from 104,048 (all minimums) to 137,808 (all maximums), and both extremes pass three-check. It carries one 4 s clip, 'scene-motion', baked at 30 fps on the registered part nodes. The pendulum rotates on Z at its pivot inside the case, the doors rotate on Y at their outer hinges, and the cuckoo slides on Z and bows on X at its feet. The hands are fixed at three o'clock, the hour the cuckoo calls. When the doors are closed, the cuckoo sits hidden inside the solid case body; it emerges through a dark recess plate behind the doors. The materials are named by role. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so role names repeat: recolour by name. There are no textures, text, logos or brand names, and the numerals are raised strokes. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 6 warnings: the triangle budget and scale against the direction's 0.25 m toy reference; duplicate materials (one per mesh); intended nesting (columns, frame and cuckoo in the case); and two single-mesh groups (roof leaves and chains) flagged 'detached' even though they sit on the roof and hang from the case. It also gives its standing 'no requirements contract' UNVERIFIED verdict. plan-check fails on the hyphen in the library slug used in the part ids. A copy of the plan with the hyphen removed passes. The plan carries a props-only craft note because the lacquer-toy pack expects a character document. Params only take effect when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer; the GLB is baked at the defaults. The viewer's ground and lights are not part of the GLB.

About the Cuckoo Clock 3D model

Cuckoo Clock is a free animated toy-style 3D model from the Hero Props set. It measures 40 cm × 1.1 m × 23 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 118,670 triangles across 37 meshes, with 14 named parts and a baked animation (4.0 s). Download the 6.3 MB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Cuckoo Clock 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 6.3 MB: 118,670 triangles, 236,108 vertices and 37 materials, modelled in metres at 40 cm × 1.1 m × 23 cm.
Is Cuckoo Clock animated?
Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (4.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Cuckoo Clock 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
