Spice jars

Three giant low-poly glass spice jars (paprika, cinnamon and cloves) with ridged black screw caps and blank paper labels, lined up on a rimmed wooden tray with a little paprika spill. A static prop for the Giant's Kitchen set.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Spice jars for the Giant's Kitchen kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Giant's Kitchen kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Tiny people on a huge table. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: wood brown #6b4a2e, enamel white #f4f1ec, copper #b8602e, tomato red #c32222, wood brown dark #362517, enamel white dark #d7cebc, wood brown light #9b704b, enamel white light #f9f8f6, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `scaleRatio` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Scale ratio" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at default params: 1.61 m wide x 1.049 m tall x 0.87 m deep. The tallest jar is 1.0 m tall and 0.44 m across, about 10x a real 0.10 m spice jar, so a tiny Giant's Kitchen person stands roughly cap-high to the label. The origin is at bottom centre and the tray rests on y = 0. Part ids use the root 'spicejars' instead of 'giants-kitchen-spice-jars' because the kit's part-id format does not allow hyphens; this matches the other Giant's Kitchen assets (e.g. 'steamjets', 'corkraft'). Material names are exactly the kit palette colour names. The exporter writes one material copy per mesh (20 entries, 9 distinct names at default params), so recolouring by name changes every copy together. scaleRatio scales the whole set from 0.7x (0) to 1.3x (1). jarCount adds or removes jars, and the tray grows to fit; a 4th jar holds grey pepper. fillLevel sets how full the jars are, with a small fixed per-jar variation. Geometry is de-indexed with per-face normals so the flat facets survive in Godot, Unity and Blender. The 'glass' is an opaque pale colour, not a transparent material, so it sorts cleanly in every engine. The model is static and carries no animation clip. Exported model: 1490 triangles. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 4 heuristic warnings, all checked in the captures: duplicate per-mesh materials (from the exporter), material count above the direction's soft limit (same cause), non-indexed primitives (deliberate, for flat shading) and fill/label bounding-box overlap (the labels are deliberately sunk 20 mm into the jar walls). Its overall verdict reads 'unverified' only because no requirements contract was passed to it.
