Table top

A giant's wooden kitchen table at 10x scale: two-tone planks with dark seams between breadboard ends, a red-and-white checked runner draped across it, crumb boulders on the boards, a drawer with a copper knob and four turned legs. It is the play surface for a tiny-people kitchen diorama.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Table top for the Giant's Kitchen kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Giant's Kitchen kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Tiny people on a huge table. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: wood brown #6b4a2e, enamel white #f4f1ec, copper #b8602e, tomato red #c32222, wood brown dark #362517, enamel white dark #d7cebc, wood brown light #9b704b, enamel white light #f9f8f6, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `scaleRatio` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Scale ratio" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at the default scaleRatio 0.5 (10x giant scale): 18.0 m long x 9.1 m deep, with the table surface at 7.6 m and crumbs reaching 7.94 m. That is a 1.8 x 0.9 x 0.76 m real kitchen table scaled 10x, the same giant factor as the kit's stove and cutlery. scaleRatio sets the giant factor linearly from 6x (0, 4.6 m surface) to 14x (1, 10.6 m surface). It does this through the root node's scale; the child geometry is authored in real table metres. Origin is at bottom centre, the front (drawer, copper knob) faces +Z, and the four leg feet are the only parts touching y = 0. Part ids use the prefix 'tabletop' instead of the full slug because the kit's part-id format does not allow hyphens, matching the other Giant's Kitchen assets. The GLB is exported at the defaults (1.8 m length, 5 planks, 0.2 m runner drop, 7 crumbs). length, planks, runnerDrop and crumbs only change the model in the 1designtool viewer. Crumb placement is seeded (fixed seed 11), so it is the same on every load. Material names are exactly the kit palette colour names. The exporter writes one material copy per mesh (23 entries, 8 distinct names), so recolouring by name changes every copy together. All materials are flat-shaded with metalness 0 and no textures. The checks are modelled tiles, not a texture. Geometry is de-indexed with per-face normals so the facets look the same in any engine. The model is static and carries no animation clip. Exported model: 2656 triangles, 23 meshes. glb-lint reports 0 errors. Its 6 heuristic warnings are all intended. Duplicate materials and a material count above the direction's soft limit both come from the per-mesh copies. Primitives are non-indexed on purpose, for flat shading. Two bounding-box overlaps are intended nesting: the two plank tones interleave, and the two runner colours share one cloth. Several parts are flagged 'detached' because they sit on the top or under it rather than on the ground. The height is flagged at 7.9 m against a 1 m reference because the asset is giant scale. The overall verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied.
