How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

A five-piece drum kit in sparkle burgundy: bass drum with pedal and beater, snare with strainer and wires, two rack toms and a floor tom with lugs and tension rods, hi-hat stand with clutch, crash and ride cymbals with lathe grooves on boom stands, a throne and a pair of drumsticks.

Note: Size: 2.10 m wide (X) × 1.85 m deep (Z) × 1.21 m tall at the defaults. The kit faces +Z (the drummer sits on the −Z side); origin at the bottom centre, resting on y = 0. The GLB has 156,136 triangles in 47 meshes (merged per part and material role, smooth normals, indexed) and no animation clip. With every param at its maximum the count rises to 159,816 and the scene still passes three-check. Materials are named by role. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a role name repeats across materials: recolour by name. The sparkle finish is a clearcoat plus a pink sheen on a flat colour, with no flake texture. There are no textures, logos or text. Cymbal lathe grooves are modelled in the profile, on the top face of the crash, the ride and the top hi-hat; the inverted bottom hi-hat's hidden top face is left smooth. Parts that rest on other parts are separate nodes: cymbals sit on their stand felts, the sticks rest across the floor tom's hoop and the tom holder rises from the bass drum, so glb-lint flags them as 'detached'. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 6 warnings: material count and duplicate materials (from one material per mesh), triangle budget and scale against the direction's 0.15 m tabletop reference, intended nesting of hardware on shells, and the detached parts above. It also gives its standing 'no requirements contract' UNVERIFIED verdict. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in this library's slug-based ids; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. Params change geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer; the GLB is baked at the defaults. The viewer's ground and lights are not part of the GLB. Fix rounds: four triangle-budget passes (302k → 156k) and one hero re-frame, one more than the four-round guideline.

About the Drum Kit 3D model

Drum Kit is a free PBR 3D model from the Hero Props set. It measures 2.1 m × 1.2 m × 1.9 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 156,136 triangles across 47 meshes, with 16 named parts. Download the 3.5 MB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Drum Kit 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 3.5 MB: 156,136 triangles, 112,233 vertices and 47 materials, modelled in metres at 2.1 m × 1.2 m × 1.9 m.
Can I animate Drum Kit?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 16 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Drum Kit 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
