Pond

A low-poly kidney-shaped park pond: blue water inside a grassy bank with a pale stone edge, a timber viewing deck with an iron rail reaching over the water, reeds with cattails, lily pads with white flowers and a few edge rocks.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Pond for the City Park kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the City Park kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Green space in the middle of town. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: grass green #3a883a, path beige #d6c5a9, pond blue #2e67b8, iron black #151619, grass green dark #235223, path beige dark #bda375, grass green light #5db15d, path beige light #ede8de, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `season` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Season" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 9.6 m x 7.0 m across the grass bank and 1.37 m tall to the tallest reed tip at the defaults. The water is about 7.0 m x 4.5 m, its surface is at 0.16 m and the bank crest is at 0.24 m. The deck top is at 0.36 m and the rail top at 1.21 m. The origin is the bottom centre, resting on y = 0, and the viewing deck faces +Z. The GLB has 2,832 triangles in 10 meshes, one per part, and no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so 'dark wood' appears twice (deck and cattails); recolour by name. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Only the defaults were rendered and checked. season (the kit's 'Season') runs from spring (0) to winter (1). Spring has light grass and fewer, younger pads. Summer adds flowers and cattails. Autumn adds a 'Fallen leaves' part, which is not present at the default. Winter has dark grass and dry beige reeds, and the water turns warm-white ice with no pads. glb-lint: 0 errors and 3 heuristic warnings: the duplicate 'dark wood' material, non-indexed geometry (deliberate, for hard flat-shaded facet normals) and overlapping sibling boxes (the bank, coping, water and deck are deliberately nested joins). plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check accepts those ids, and all 11 survive the GLB reload. Known viewer limitation: at portrait phone sizes (390x844), the in-page hero, front and side views crop the pond's width. The 1280x800 views and the GLB are unaffected.

About the Pond 3D model

Pond is a free low-poly 3D model from the City Park set. It measures 9.6 m × 1.4 m × 7.0 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,832 triangles across 10 meshes, with 11 named parts. Download the 208 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Pond 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 208 KB: 2,832 triangles, 8,496 vertices and 10 materials, modelled in metres at 9.6 m × 1.4 m × 7.0 m.
Can I animate Pond?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 11 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Pond 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
