Bins

A low-poly pair of traditional park litter bins — slatted wooden drums bound by iron hoops under domed rain caps — standing on a shared stone pad, with pond blue hoops marking the recycling bin. Part of the City Park kit.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Bins for the City Park kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the City Park kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Green space in the middle of town. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: grass green #3a883a, path beige #d6c5a9, pond blue #2e67b8, iron black #151619, grass green dark #235223, path beige dark #bda375, grass green light #5db15d, path beige light #ede8de, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `season` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Season" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size 1.44 m wide x 1.06 m tall (to the finial) x 0.78 m deep for the default pair; each bin is 0.52 m across at the slats. Origin at the bottom centre of the stone pad, front facing +Z. 1,376 triangles, static (no animation). Materials are named exactly after the City Park palette colours so the kit recolours by name; 'iron black', 'soot black' and 'pond blue' appear as several identically named materials (one per part), which is why glb-lint counts 11 materials for 7 colours. Hoop colour identifies each bin: iron black waste, pond blue recycling, grass green (third bin, bins = 3) garden waste — no symbols or text. Season only changes the fallen leaves on the pad (0 spring: a few light green; 0.5 summer: a few green; 1 autumn: up to 14 in path beige, path beige dark and dark wood), so the default export carries grass green leaves and other seasons add palette colours not listed above. glb-lint: 0 errors, 4 heuristic warnings (duplicate-name materials, intended nesting of liner/slats and cap parts, bounding-box 'detached' flags on parts that sit on or inside others); its verdict is UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. The kit's plan-check rejects the hyphenated part-id slug the library requires; the scene and GLB use the library ids.

About the Bins 3D model

Bins is a free low-poly 3D model from the City Park set. It measures 1.4 m × 1.1 m × 78 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,376 triangles across 11 meshes, with 7 named parts. Download the 78 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Bins 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 78 KB: 1,376 triangles, 1,790 vertices and 11 materials, modelled in metres at 1.4 m × 1.1 m × 78 cm.
Can I animate Bins?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 7 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Bins 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
