Licorice train
A chunky low-poly toy steam locomotive made of candy: a black licorice boiler wrapped in pink bands, a twisted red-licorice chimney, an allsort-striped cab and red licorice wheels. It loops a 4-second animation with the wheels rolling, the coupling rods cycling and the bell swinging.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Licorice train for the Candy Land kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Candy Land kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A world you could eat. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: bubblegum pink #e085a3, mint #90d5b3, chocolate #51341f, lemon #f0e142, bubblegum pink dark #d14775, mint dark #59c08c, bubblegum pink light #eec4d2, mint light #c9e8d9, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `flavourPalette` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Flavour palette" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Real-world scale for Candy Land: about 3.49 m long, 1.46 m wide and 2.71 m tall to the chimney cap (park-ride size). Front faces +Z and the wheels rest on y = 0. 3,276 triangles, 7 flat-shaded materials, each named exactly after its Candy Land palette colour (roughness 0.92, metalness 0, no textures). The 'scene-motion' clip is 4 s and loops seamlessly. The drivers roll 2 turns, the half-size pilot and trailing wheels roll 4, the coupling rods move with the crank pins without rotating, and the bell swings on its yoke axle. Frame, boiler and cab never move. Every pivot is at its axle. At the bottom of each roll, the 12- and 16-sided wheels rise up to about 1 cm off the ground. Flavour palette is a three-way switch rather than a blend: 0–0.33 is classic black licorice and coconut (soot black, warm white, mid grey, lemon), 0.34–0.66 is the default allsorts look, and 0.67–1 is strawberry red licorice with mint and cream. Params are build-time options: the GLB carries the default values. Leaf parts use the library ids candy-land-licorice-train.*. The three assembly groups are named licoricetrain, licoricetrain.chassis and licoricetrain.running_gear because the kit's plan validator does not allow hyphens in part ids. glb-lint found 0 errors. Its overall verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. Its 3 warnings are heuristic: nested per-material meshes, lone embedded parts such as the bands and bell, and a height above the direction's 1 m reference.
About the Licorice train 3D model
Licorice train is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Candy Land set. It measures 1.5 m × 2.7 m × 3.5 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 3,276 triangles across 49 meshes, with 26 named parts and a baked animation (4.0 s). Download the 299 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Licorice train 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 299 KB: 3,276 triangles, 5,415 vertices and 7 materials, modelled in metres at 1.5 m × 2.7 m × 3.5 m.
- Is Licorice train animated?
- Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (4.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Licorice train 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
