Bicycle

A low-poly camp touring bicycle with a forest-green diamond frame, loaded for the campsite. A flame-orange bedroll and two green panniers ride on the rear rack, a wicker basket of kindling and fallen leaves sits over the front wheel, and a blue bottle rides on the down tube. It comes with a seamless 4 s riding loop.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Bicycle for the Campground kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Campground kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Tents, vans and a lake. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: forest green #3a883a, canvas tan #bf9769, flame orange #ed7e1d, lake blue #2e67b8, forest green dark #235223, canvas tan dark #9a7142, forest green light #5db15d, canvas tan light #d2bca2, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `season` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Season" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: about 1.80 m long (mudguard to mudguard), 0.64 m wide over the grips and 1.14 m tall to the tip of the kindling in the basket. It has a 1.06 m wheelbase and 0.68 m wheels (26-inch class). The origin is at the bottom centre, the tyres and the kickstand foot rest on y = 0, and the front faces +Z. The drivetrain is on the rider's right (-X). The exported model has 3,560 triangles, counted from the GLB. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour, and 11 of the 12 colours are in the GLB at the defaults (forest green light appears only at spring seasons). The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name appears on several materials: recolour by name. The baked clip scene-motion (4 s, seamless) moves only parts on their own pivots. The wheels roll five whole turns on their axles. The cranks turn twice on the bottom bracket, and the pedals counter-rotate on their spindles to stay level. The steering assembly (fork, bars, basket, lamp, front mudguard and front wheel) sways ±4.6° on the head-tube axis. The frame, rack, bedroll and panniers never move. The steering pivots inside a 'steer-mount' node tilted 20° to the head-tube angle, and the front wheel's rest rotation cancels that tilt. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. season (the kit's 'Season' knob) sets the leaves lying on the towel in the front basket: 3 to 8 leaves, going from spring green (0) through summer green to canvas tan and flame orange (0.5, default) and then flame orange and dark tan (autumn, 0.75 and up). wheelRadius sets the wheel size, and the frame and rack ride with the axles. saddleHeight raises the seat post. panniers removes the two bags at 0 but keeps their hook rails. The extremes (season 1, panniers 0, wheelRadius 0.3, saddleHeight 0.15) pass three-check. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings: the material count is above the direction default because of per-mesh materials; duplicate same-colour materials; non-indexed flat-shaded geometry; intended overlaps where tubes join; and parts flagged as detached because they attach across groups. Its bounds line reads y 0..1.161 because it uses rotated boxes; a vertex-exact pass over the GLB gives 0..1.143. plan-check passes on a copy with the slug's hyphen removed, because its part-id regex rejects the hyphenated slug ids this library requires. three-check accepts those ids, and all 19 survive the GLB reload.

About the Bicycle 3D model

Bicycle is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Campground set. It measures 64 cm × 1.2 m × 1.9 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 3,560 triangles across 41 meshes, with 19 named parts and a baked animation (4.0 s). Download the 383 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Bicycle 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 383 KB: 3,560 triangles, 9,536 vertices and 41 materials, modelled in metres at 64 cm × 1.2 m × 1.9 m.
Is Bicycle animated?
Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (4.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Bicycle 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
