Bến cảng Nhà Rồng, TP. Hồ Chí Minh

Tabletop diorama of Nhà Rồng Wharf on the Saigon River: the cream French colonial building with arched green-shuttered windows, a central tower and flagpole, and a dark tiled roof crowned by two turquoise dragons facing a moon. Riverside quay with bollards, lamps, palms, lawns and boats; river ripples flow and palms sway in a 10 s loop.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Nhà Rồng Wharf (1863) on the Saigon River, from where Hồ Chí Minh left in 1911 — now a museum. The two-storey French colonial building: symmetric cream-yellow facade with white pilasters, tall arched windows with green shutters, a raised central bay with a small tower and flagpole, a dark tiled roof whose main ridge carries two glazed blue-green ceramic dragons facing a moon (the 'Dragon House' that gives the wharf its name). In front, a riverside quay with mooring bollards, palm trees and lawns along the river. No text. Loop (10 s): river water flows and the palms sway. Make it a polished, elegant model in the stylised-PBR direction: clean proportions, smooth curvature, soft bevels on every edge, crisp silhouettes and a restrained palette of named materials (name each material for what it is, e.g. "limestone", "red lacquer", "glazed roof tile", "sea water"); every material in the exported GLB must carry that name — set `material.name` on each one, because an unnamed material fails review. It must be recognisable at a glance as the real place. No text, lettering, logos or signage anywhere. There are no reference photos for this one: follow the description closely. Natural sites and large complexes are presented as a tabletop diorama on a clean rounded plinth with slate-grey sides; state the real-world scale and the diorama scale in meta.notes. Hard requirement: the exported GLB must contain AT LEAST 100,000 triangles (target 120,000–200,000) — measure it before delivering. Spend the budget on real modelled detail (roof tiles, carvings, railings, mouldings, rock strata, foliage clusters, water surface, boats), never on invisible subdivision. Keep the GLB under 20 MB: index all geometry, instance repeated parts, no image textures.

Note: Real-world scale 1:1 (facade ~54 m wide, ridge ~17 m, site 140 x 99 m); diorama scale 1:100 (plinth 1.40 x 0.99 m, building ~0.54 m wide). 195,900 triangles, 22 named materials, no textures, 7.6 MB. 10 s baked loop: 22 ripple lenses drift downstream and swell/fade, 3 boats bob, palm crowns sway. Part ids use the root nharong (not ben-nha-rong) because the plan checker rejects hyphens. Params are rebuilt in the viewer; the GLB carries the default build. glb-lint reports advisory warnings only (material count and triangle count above the direction defaults, by design).
