Breads

A low-poly bakery bread board: a floured, cross-scored boule, a tin loaf cut into slices, scored baguettes, soft rolls on a rose napkin and a glazed plait, all on a dark-wood board with a handle.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Breads for the Bakery and Patisserie kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Bakery and Patisserie kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Warm ovens and glass counters. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: cream #f1e7d0, pastry gold #d0a225, rose #cc6680, chocolate brown #6b4a2e, cream dark #e0c994, pastry gold dark #8f7019, cream light #fbf9f4, pastry gold light #debd63, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `productRange` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Product range" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 0.90 m long (0.80 m board plus a 0.10 m handle with a hang hole) × 0.48 m deep × 0.15 m tall at the tin loaf. The board top is 0.04 m above the ground. The origin is at the bottom centre on y = 0 and the front faces +Z. The GLB has 2,400 triangles in 14 meshes (merged per part and palette colour; counted from the GLB accessors). Static: there is no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after its Bakery and Patisserie palette colour. The default build uses 9 of the 12 colours; crustBake 2 adds chocolate brown crusts. three.js's exporter writes one material per mesh, so names repeat. Params are baked at export, so the GLB is the default build. productRange (the kit's Product range setting) stocks the board with 1–3 baguettes (the third rests in the groove of the two below it) and 2–5 rolls. slices cuts 1–5 slices off the tin loaf, and the loaf gets shorter to match. crustBake moves every crust one palette step paler (0) or darker (2). Both param extremes passed three-check: 0 / 1 / 0 gives about 1.9k triangles and 1 / 5 / 2 gives about 2.8k. plan-check's part-id pattern rejects the hyphenated slug ids the library requires, so the plan was validated with the hyphens removed (PASS) and is otherwise unchanged. glb-lint reports 0 errors. Its warnings are expected for this pipeline: duplicate material names, non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, boule flour cap and score nested on the crust, the napkin, rolls and plait flagged as detached because the board they rest on is a separate part, and a scale check that assumes a 1 m reference object.

About the Breads 3D model

Breads is a free low-poly 3D model from the Bakery and Patisserie set. It measures 90 cm × 15 cm × 48 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,400 triangles across 14 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 182 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Breads 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 182 KB: 2,400 triangles, 7,200 vertices and 14 materials, modelled in metres at 90 cm × 15 cm × 48 cm.
Can I animate Breads?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 9 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Breads 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
