Sleds

Two low-poly wooden runner sleds stacked on the snow: a 1.15 m pine sled with red painted rails and steel shoes, a smaller green sled resting on its deck, and a rope looped from the front hooks onto the ground. Built for the Winter Holiday Village kit with a shared Snow depth control.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Sleds for the Winter Holiday Village kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Winter Holiday Village kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Snow, lights and a market square. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: snow white #f4f1ec, pine green #3a883a, red #c32222, warm gold #da942b, snow white dark #d7cebc, pine green dark #235223, snow white light #f9f8f6, pine green light #5db15d, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `snowDepth` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Snow depth" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Metres, +Y up, noses face +Z, origin at the bottom centre, model rests exactly on y = 0. Bounding box 0.43 x 0.39 x 1.15 m (the big sled is 1.05 m long; the rope loop adds the extra 0.10 m in +Z). 1228 triangles, 10 primitives, 10 materials, no textures and no animation clips. Every material is named for its Winter Holiday Village palette colour, so the kit recolours by material name; the exporter clones materials per mesh, so 'dark wood' appears three times and 'mid grey' twice in the GLB, each clone carrying identical values. Part ids are rooted at 'sleds.' rather than the slug: the kit's part-id grammar allows no hyphens in the first segment. 'snowDepth' changes real geometry (the two snow caps grow from a dusting to a 34 mm drift and disappear below 0.02), and the other three params rebuild the sleds; all four were rendered at both ends of their range. The snowy ground disc, the sun rig and the shadow catcher are viewer staging only and are not in the GLB. OBJ export carries geometry without materials.
