Ice rink

A low-poly outdoor village ice rink: a 14 × 9 m sheet of ice inside red boards with a dark wood rail, a garlanded entrance arch with a gold star, and corner poles strung with warm bulbs over the ice. Snow banks the boards and caps the posts, pines and benches.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Ice rink for the Winter Holiday Village kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Winter Holiday Village kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Snow, lights and a market square. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: snow white #f4f1ec, pine green #3a883a, red #c32222, warm gold #da942b, snow white dark #d7cebc, pine green dark #235223, snow white light #f9f8f6, pine green light #5db15d, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `snowDepth` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Snow depth" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Real-world size: 18.3 m wide (x) × 12.5 m deep (z) × 4.5 m tall overall; the ice sheet is 14 × 9 m inside 0.9 m boards, the entrance gap is 2 m wide on the front (+Z), light poles are 4 m. Origin is the rink centre on y = 0 (the overall bounds sit 0.27 m toward the back because of the rear pines). Static model, no animation clip. 5,816 triangles, 19 meshes. Materials are named by kit palette colour; the exporter writes one material copy per mesh (19 materials, 9 unique names), so recolour by material name. Each part group carries the library id (winter-holiday-village-ice-rink.*); its main mesh also carries a short kit id (rink.*). Bulbs and the star have a mild warm-gold emissive. The params (including snowDepth, which scales the snow berm, rail/post/tree caps and mounds; 0 leaves a light dusting) rebuild the model in the viewer — the GLB is the default values. glb-lint: 0 errors, 6 heuristic warnings (material copies, non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, nested garland/gate meshes, lanterns/strings sit atop poles rather than touching the ground, 4.5 m height vs the direction's 1 m reference scale); its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied.
