Giant tree

The giant decorated fir for a winter market square: six faceted bough tiers with snowy shoulders, gold bulbs on every bough tip, red baubles and a crossed gold star, standing in an octagonal timber planter ringed by gift boxes.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Giant tree for the Winter Holiday Village kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Winter Holiday Village kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Snow, lights and a market square. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: snow white #f4f1ec, pine green #3a883a, red #c32222, warm gold #da942b, snow white dark #d7cebc, pine green dark #235223, snow white light #f9f8f6, pine green light #5db15d, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `snowDepth` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Snow depth" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Real-world size at defaults: 12.0 m tall (ground to star tip) with a 6.6 m bough spread; the octagonal planter is 3.4 m across and 0.8 m high. 2504 triangles, static model with no animation clip. Every material is named exactly as its kit palette colour; warm gold carries a mild emissive so bulbs and star glow. Params are build-time knobs in the viewer and the GLB is baked at the defaults (12 m, 6 tiers, 5 baubles per tier, snowDepth 0.5). snowDepth scales the tier snow caps and the snow mound in the planter; at 0 the snow meshes are omitted but the gianttree.snow part id stays as an empty node. Part ids use the hyphen-free root 'gianttree' because the kit's part-id grammar forbids hyphens. Geometry is flat-shaded and non-indexed (one normal per face) so it stays faceted in any engine; the exporter writes one material copy per mesh, so some palette names repeat. glb-lint reported 0 errors and only heuristic warnings: material count, non-indexed geometry, intended overlaps (planter band, rim and battens are embedded joins), detached-part flags for the trunk, bulbs, baubles and star (each is embedded in a different part group, which that sibling-only check does not see), and scale vs the 1 m reference.
