Conveyor at the till

A low-poly supermarket checkout counter with its loading conveyor: a ribbed black belt running between stainless rails toward a light-wood packing deck, with a divider bar, photo-eye posts and a green brand band. It comes with a seamless 9 s running-belt loop.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Conveyor at the till for the Supermarket kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Supermarket kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A full grocery store interior. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: white #f4f1ec, fresh green #3a883a, red #c32222, light wood #ac7d53, white dark #d7cebc, fresh green dark #235223, white light #f9f8f6, fresh green light #5db15d, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `brandColours` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Brand colours" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at the defaults: 2.02 m long × 0.57 m deep × 1.03 m tall to the top of the photo-eyes; the belt surface is at 0.90 m working height, the rails at 0.94 m and the belt is 0.45 m wide. Origin is the bottom centre on y = 0. The customer side faces +Z; the belt's top run moves toward +X, the cashier end with the wooden packing deck. The GLB has 1,464 triangles in 94 meshes. Animation clip 'scene-motion' is 9 s and loops seamlessly: each of the 60 belt segments (sub-parts belt.seg_00–59) travels exactly one lap of the belt path, and both rollers turn a whole number of turns on their own axles. The counter, rails, deck, divider and photo-eyes never move. All 12 kit colours are used and every material is named exactly after its palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name appears on several materials: recolour by name. brandColours (the kit's 'Brand colours') switches the wrap-around band between white dark (below 0.34), fresh green and red (above 0.67), with the divider bar in a contrasting colour, and makes the band taller as it rises. beltSpeed sets the loop length from 12 s (0) to 6 s (1). Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the model when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer; only the defaults were rendered and checked. Normals are baked flat (non-indexed geometry). glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 heuristic or direction warnings: material count over the direction default because of one material per mesh, duplicate-named materials, non-indexed primitives for flat normals, ribs nested on their belt segments and the slider bed inside the counter by design, and belt segments flagged as detached because they ride on parts in other groups. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphen in the slug-based ids this library requires. three-check accepts those ids, and all 10 survive the GLB reload.

About the Conveyor at the till 3D model

Conveyor at the till is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Supermarket set. It measures 2.0 m × 1.0 m × 57 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,464 triangles across 94 meshes, with 10 named parts and a baked animation (9.0 s). Download the 631 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Conveyor at the till 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 631 KB: 1,464 triangles, 4,392 vertices and 94 materials, modelled in metres at 2.0 m × 1.0 m × 57 cm.
Is Conveyor at the till animated?
Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (9.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Conveyor at the till 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
