Spears

Low-poly Stone Age hunting spears: three flint-tipped spears lashed into a tripod stand with their leaf-shaped heads fanned out above the sinew knot, and a fourth spear laid in front with its head propped on a stone.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Spears for the Stone Age Camp kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Stone Age Camp kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Hide tents at the edge of the ice. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: hide tan #bf9769, ochre #bd8728, charcoal #34383d, moss #55743e, hide tan dark #9a7142, ochre dark #7e5a1b, hide tan light #d2bca2, ochre light #d6a95c, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `climateIceOrForest` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Climate (ice or forest)" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at the defaults: 2.23 m tall to the highest spear tip, footprint 2.3 × 1.7 m. Each spear is 2.3 m long with a 4 cm shaft (slightly thick so it holds at thumbnail size) and a 28 cm knapped flint head; the tripod butts sit on a 0.5 m circle and the shafts cross at about 1.5 m. Origin at the bottom centre, resting on y = 0, front facing +Z. climateIceOrForest (the kit's 'Climate (ice or forest)'): toward 0, snow caps the foot stones and the lashing knot and banks round the butts; toward 1 the snow goes and moss tufts grow at the feet. The default 0.5 shows a mix. spearCount (3–6) sets how many spears stand in the tripod (the laid spear is always there), spearLength (1.8–2.8 m) scales every spear, and headLength (0.16–0.32 m) sets the flint heads. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer; only the defaults were rendered and checked. The GLB has 1,088 triangles in 13 meshes, is static and has no animation clip. Of the 12 kit colours it uses 10 (not hide tan light or soot black), and every material is named exactly after its kit colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so names repeat; recolour by name. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 5 warnings (material count, duplicate materials, non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, nested part bounds, and height compared with a 1 m reference). Its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check keeps all 8 ids. Viewer-only staging (ground, sun rig, exposure 0.6) is not in the GLB.

About the Spears 3D model

Spears is a free low-poly 3D model from the Stone Age Camp set. It measures 2.3 m × 2.2 m × 1.7 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,088 triangles across 13 meshes, with 8 named parts. Download the 89 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Spears 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 89 KB: 1,088 triangles, 3,264 vertices and 13 materials, modelled in metres at 2.3 m × 2.2 m × 1.7 m.
Can I animate Spears?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 8 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Spears 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
