Stage

A low-poly 1920s jazz bandstand for a hidden speakeasy: a faceted black platform with brass nosing and footlights, a band riser with deco music stands, and a gold sunburst backdrop framed by tied-back velvet drapes, fluted columns and a stepped deco crown.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Stage for the Speakeasy kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Speakeasy kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A hidden jazz club in the 1920s. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: black #151619, gold #d0a225, emerald #248f59, velvet red #c32222, black dark #090a0b, gold dark #8f7019, black light #3a3c40, gold light #debd63, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `luxuryLevel` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Luxury level" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at the defaults: about 6.24 m wide including the side steps (5.0 m platform, 5.84 m across the proscenium), 3.31 m deep and 4.08 m tall at the top of the deco crown. The platform deck is 0.6 m high and the band riser adds 0.25 m. The audience side faces +Z and the origin is at the bottom centre on y = 0. The footprint runs from z = -1.68 to z = +1.63, so it is 3 cm off centre in depth. The GLB has 2,244 triangles in 34 meshes, merged per part and palette colour with baked flat normals, and no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour (9 of the 12 are used; emerald, black light and mid grey are not), so one material name appears once per part. 'gold light' (footlight lamps, mic head) has a mild emissive. Params are baked at export, so the GLB is the default build. luxuryLevel sets the sunburst ray count (9 to 15), the column flutes (1 to 3), the crown tiers (1 to 3), the fringe length and the footlight spacing. curtainOpen sets how far the drapes are drawn back at the top. musicStands are split into two sections either side of a clear centre. Every param adds only small boxes or ray wedges, so the model stays far under the 10,000-triangle budget across all ranges. plan-check's part-id regex rejects the hyphenated slug ids the library requires, so the plan was validated on a de-hyphenated copy (PASS). three-check accepts the hyphenated ids. glb-lint reports 0 errors; its warnings are expected for this pipeline: per-part material instances, non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, nested trims overlapping, and a scale heuristic tuned for 1 m props.

About the Stage 3D model

Stage is a free low-poly 3D model from the Speakeasy set. It measures 6.2 m × 4.1 m × 3.3 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,244 triangles across 34 meshes, with 11 named parts. Download the 186 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Stage 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 186 KB: 2,244 triangles, 6,732 vertices and 34 materials, modelled in metres at 6.2 m × 4.1 m × 3.3 m.
Can I animate Stage?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 11 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Stage 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
