Lamps
A low-poly 1920s art deco floor lamp for a speakeasy, about 1.66 m tall. A tapered eight-panel velvet-red shade with gold rims and a gold fringe sits on a slim black stem with an emerald knop, which rises from a stepped octagonal black-and-gold base.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Lamps for the Speakeasy kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Speakeasy kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A hidden jazz club in the 1920s. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: black #151619, gold #d0a225, emerald #248f59, velvet red #c32222, black dark #090a0b, gold dark #8f7019, black light #3a3c40, gold light #debd63, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `luxuryLevel` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Luxury level" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at the defaults: 1.66 m tall to the finial tip, a 0.56 m shade across the corners (0.52 m across the flats), a 0.30 m tall shade with its lower rim at about 1.28 m, and a 0.37 m octagonal base. The origin is at the bottom centre and the lamp rests on y = 0. +Y is up and the pull chain hangs on the +Z (front) side. The GLB has 1,372 triangles in 17 meshes (one per part and colour) and no animation clip. Normals are baked flat (non-indexed), so the facets survive in any engine. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour, and 9 of the 12 kit colours are used. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name can appear on more than one material: recolour by name. The bulb and the shade lining have a faint emissive term in their own colour, so the lamp reads as lit without any light inside the model. The shade is an open shell (velvet outside, lining inside) with gold rims over both edges, so you can see in from above and below. luxuryLevel (the kit's 'Luxury level') adds gold in steps. Below 0.25 the rims, collars, bands and fringe are gold dark and the knop is gold dark. From 0.25 they turn gold. From 0.5 an emerald jewel band on the base, an emerald knop and a gold band around the shade appear. From 0.75 the shade ribs turn gold and gold-light beads hang at the fringe tips, adding about 190 triangles. lampHeight moves the stem length, shadeWidth scales the shade's flare, and fringeLength sets the fringe drop. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Only the defaults were rendered and checked. The viewer renders at exposure 0.62 (direction default 1.05), because brighter exposure washes the velvet red to coral. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings, all expected. They are one material per mesh, non-indexed primitives (flat shading on purpose), intentional nesting of bands on the base, single-mesh parts flagged as 'detached' though each sits on its neighbour part, and the material count. Its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen. The same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 9 ids. Fix round: (1) exposure was lowered from 0.8 to 0.62 so the shade reads as velvet red, not coral.
About the Lamps 3D model
Lamps is a free low-poly 3D model from the Speakeasy set. It measures 54 cm × 1.7 m × 54 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,372 triangles across 17 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 112 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Lamps 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 112 KB: 1,372 triangles, 4,116 vertices and 17 materials, modelled in metres at 54 cm × 1.7 m × 54 cm.
- Can I animate Lamps?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 9 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Lamps 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
