Curtain walls

A modular castle curtain-wall segment: a crenellated stone rampart with a corbel-carried wall-walk, two tapered buttresses, narrow arrow slits and a hanging royal-blue heraldic banner. Built on a 1 m grid, 4 m long by 4.94 m tall at real scale.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Curtain walls for the Royal Castle Court kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It is a modular piece that snaps on a 1 m grid: give it a length in whole metres and put the origin at its snapping end, stated in meta.notes. This is one part of the Royal Castle Court kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A bright castle for ceremonies and intrigue. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: stone white #f4f1ec, royal blue #2e67b8, gold #d0a225, crimson #a51d34, stone white dark #d7cebc, royal blue dark #1f457a, stone white light #f9f8f6, royal blue light #6190d1, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `bannerCrestAndColours` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Banner crest and colours" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id. Material names are the palette colour NAMES listed above (e.g. "leaf green", "dark wood") — never a hex code like "#3d2a1c". meta.json must be valid JSON.

Note: Real-world scale: 4 m long, 4.94 m tall, 1.65 m deep at the default parameters, resting exactly on y = 0. It is a modular piece on a 1 m grid — the origin is at the snapping end (x = 0, z = 0, y = 0) with the wall running along +X, and the length parameter is in whole metres, so copies tile end to end. Every material is named with its exact kit palette colour name (stone white, stone white dark, stone white light, mid grey, royal blue, gold, crimson, soot black, dark wood); the GLB recolours as one. Static: evaluatePose is a no-op and the GLB carries no animation clip. The bannerCrestAndColours knob hides the banner at 0, shows the banner from just above 0, and fades the gold-and-crimson crest in from 0.5 to 1. Source parameters rebuild the geometry; they are not editable controls inside the GLB. Export is 718 triangles, 36 draw calls, 74 KB. glb-lint reports 0 errors (verdict PASS against the harvested quality contract); its heuristic warnings — per-mesh duplicated materials from the runtime export path, conservative detached-part flags on the corbels/wall-walk, and the intentional 4.94 m scale — were reviewed and are not defects. OBJ export is geometry only.
