Welding arms
A low-poly twin robotic welding cell: two orange three-axis arms on grey pedestals lean in over a jig and weld the top seams of a white robot shell. It plays a seamless 8-second loop in which each torch descends, runs along its seam with an orange spark, lifts and returns, and the two arms take turns.

Left rail: colours and the 3 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Welding arms for the Robot Factory kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Robot Factory kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A clean line that builds robots. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: white #f4f1ec, light grey #a3a5a8, electric blue #136dec, orange #ed7e1d, white dark #d7cebc, light grey dark #7c7f83, white light #f9f8f6, light grey light #cccccc, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `lineSpeed` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Line speed" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 2.22 m wide (X), 1.0 m deep (Z), 1.49 m tall at the rest pose. The skid plate rests on y = 0, the origin is at the bottom centre of its footprint and the front faces +Z. The GLB has 1,900 triangles in 54 meshes and one baked 8 s clip, 'scene-motion', which loops seamlessly (t = 0 and t = 8 are the same frame). Each arm has four pivots at its joint axes: turret swivel (Y), shoulder, elbow and wrist (X in the arm plane). The poses are solved by IK, so each torch tip stays on its seam while it welds. The skid, pedestals, cabinet and jig never move. Each spark animates by scale only, flickering, and collapses to a near-zero scale while its torch is off the seam. The spark materials are emissive; every other material is matte (roughness 0.95, metalness 0, flat-shaded). Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name repeats across materials: recolour by name. 10 of the 12 kit colours are used; warm white and dark wood are not. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the model only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. lineSpeed (the kit's 'Line speed') sets how many weld passes each arm makes per 8 s loop: 0 = 1 pass, 0.5 = 2 (the baked clip), 1 = 3. cellWidth moves the pedestals apart and widens the skid. shellWidth resizes the workpiece and jig. The arms re-aim at the new seams at any setting. glb-lint: 0 errors. Its verdict prints UNVERIFIED because 5 rules need a requirements contract or a manual review. It also gives 5 heuristic warnings, all expected for this build: material count and duplicate materials (one material per mesh), non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, nested trim boxes, and parts that rest on parts in other groups (the turrets on the pedestals, the jig top on its legs). plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires. three-check accepts those ids, and all 13 survive the GLB reload. In a narrow portrait viewer (390 px wide) the hero view clips the ends of the skid slightly.
About the Welding arms 3D model
Welding arms is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Robot Factory set. It measures 2.2 m × 1.5 m × 1.0 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,900 triangles across 54 meshes, with 13 named parts and a baked animation (8.0 s). Download the 223 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Welding arms 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 223 KB: 1,900 triangles, 5,700 vertices and 54 materials, modelled in metres at 2.2 m × 1.5 m × 1.0 m.
- Is Welding arms animated?
- Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (8.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Welding arms 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
