Squad room
A low-poly cutaway of a police station squad room: three four-desk pods with monitors and swivel chairs, a glazed sergeant's office, a case board of photos linked by string, a coffee counter under a wall TV, and a bank of lockers by the door through to the front desk.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Squad room for the Police Station kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Police Station kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Front desk to holding cells. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: navy #1c2a54, grey #757e8a, pale blue #7e9fce, steel #7e8c9a, navy dark #090d1b, grey dark #525860, navy light #344989, grey light #a3a5a8, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `countryStyling` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Country styling" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at the defaults: 10.0 m wide (x) by 7.0 m deep (z), on a 0.12 m floor slab, with walls rising to 3.12 m (3.18 m with the caps, the highest point). It is a cutaway: the front (+Z) is open and there is no ceiling, so the interior reads from above. The sergeant's office is a fixed 3.0 × 2.6 m glazed box in the back-left corner, and desks are 1.1 × 0.75 m at 0.72 m high. The origin is at the bottom centre and the slab rests on y = 0. The GLB has 8,528 triangles in 73 meshes (merged per part and palette colour) and no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour (all 12 are used), so one material name appears once per part. Glass is opaque pale blue. Params are baked at export, so the GLB is the default build. countryStyling sets the chequered wall band (0–3 rows; 2 at 0.5) and shows the flag stand in the sergeant's office at 0.5 and above, with the flag growing toward 1. roomWidth widens the desk area; the office, counter and lockers keep their size. deskPods drops pods automatically if the room is too narrow for them. At the maximum settings (12 m wide, countryStyling 1, blinds fully down) the model has 9,656 triangles, so every setting stays under 10k. plan-check's part-id regex rejects the hyphenated slug ids the library requires, so the plan was validated on a de-hyphenated copy (PASS); three-check accepts the hyphenated ids. glb-lint reports 0 errors. Its warnings are expected for this pipeline: per-part material instances, non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, overlapping trims, and a scale heuristic tuned for 1 m props.
About the Squad room 3D model
Squad room is a free low-poly 3D model from the Police Station set. It measures 10 m × 3.2 m × 7.1 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 8,528 triangles across 73 meshes, with 11 named parts. Download the 658 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Squad room 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 658 KB: 8,528 triangles, 25,584 vertices and 73 materials, modelled in metres at 10 m × 3.2 m × 7.1 m.
- Can I animate Squad room?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 11 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Squad room 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
