Lobby

A low-poly cutaway of a police station front office: glass entrance doors under a blue lamp, linked waiting seats, a queue-barrier lane up to a long navy front desk with a security-glass screen, and a barred holding cell with a bench and a swinging barred door.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Lobby for the Police Station kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Police Station kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Front desk to holding cells. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: navy #1c2a54, grey #757e8a, pale blue #7e9fce, steel #7e8c9a, navy dark #090d1b, grey dark #525860, navy light #344989, grey light #a3a5a8, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `countryStyling` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Country styling" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at the defaults: the room is 10.0 m wide (x) by 7.0 m deep (z), on a 0.12 m floor slab, with walls rising to 3.12 m (3.18 m with the caps). The blue lamp above the entrance canopy is the highest point at 3.25 m, and the outside step, canopy and lamp stand up to 0.8 m proud of the right wall. It is a cutaway: the front (+Z) is open and there is no ceiling, so the interior reads from above. The front desk is 3.4 m long with a 1.17 m counter and a security-glass screen to about 2 m. The holding cell is a fixed 3.0 × 2.6 m with 2.4 m steel bars, and its barred door hinges out into the lobby. The origin is at the bottom centre and the slab rests on y = 0. The GLB has 5,600 triangles in 57 meshes (merged per part and palette colour) and no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour (all 12 are used), so one material name appears once per part. Glass is opaque pale blue. Params are baked at export, so the GLB is the default build. countryStyling sets the chequered wall band (0–3 rows; 2 at 0.5), shows the blue lamp at 0.25 and above (it grows with the value), and shows the flag stand behind the desk at 0.5 and above. roomWidth widens only the public side; the cell and gate keep their size. cellDoorOpen swings the cell door from closed to about 92°. At the maximum settings (12 m wide, 7 seats, countryStyling 1) it measures 6,440 triangles and stands 3.32 m high, so every setting stays under 10k. plan-check's part-id regex rejects the hyphenated slug ids the library requires, so the plan was validated on a de-hyphenated copy (PASS); three-check accepts the hyphenated ids. glb-lint reports 0 errors. Its warnings are expected for this pipeline: per-part material instances, non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, nested trims overlapping, and a scale heuristic tuned for 1 m props.

About the Lobby 3D model

Lobby is a free low-poly 3D model from the Police Station set. It measures 11 m × 3.3 m × 7.1 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 5,600 triangles across 57 meshes, with 10 named parts. Download the 439 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Lobby 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 439 KB: 5,600 triangles, 16,800 vertices and 57 materials, modelled in metres at 11 m × 3.3 m × 7.1 m.
Can I animate Lobby?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 10 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Lobby 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
