Watering cans
A low-poly pair of greenhouse watering cans: a full-size glass-blue can with a long rising spout, a white-faced sprinkler rose and an arched carry handle, and a small leaf-green indoor can with a long thin neck beside it.

Left rail: colours and the 3 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Watering cans for the Plant Shop and Greenhouse kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Plant Shop and Greenhouse kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Glass, humidity and green. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: leaf green #3a883a, glass blue #2e67b8, terracotta #be5937, white #f4f1ec, leaf green dark #235223, glass blue dark #1f457a, leaf green light #5db15d, glass blue light #6190d1, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `plantMix` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Plant mix" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at the defaults: about 0.83 m wide × 0.38 m deep × 0.37 m tall overall. The big can body is 0.21 m across and 0.27 m to the top of its fill collar, the size of an 8-litre greenhouse can, and its handle reaches 0.37 m. The small can is 0.13 m across and 0.15 m tall. The origin is the bottom centre of the footprint, resting on y = 0, and the front faces +Z. The big can's spout points +X, so the front view shows the classic side profile. The small can is turned to point front-left. The GLB has 1,288 triangles in 13 meshes (one per part and material) and no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name can repeat (for example three 'soot black' materials): recolour by name. Terracotta, warm white, mid grey and dark wood from the kit palette are not used. plantMix (the kit's 'Plant mix') sets the colourway mix: below 0.25 both cans are glass blue, from 0.25 to 0.75 the small can is leaf green, and above 0.75 both are leaf green. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Both param extremes were rendered and passed three-check. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 heuristic or direction warnings. They are 13 materials against the soft default of 10 (one per mesh, sharing 8 palette names), duplicate materials, intended nesting (bands and collars around the bodies), a 'detached' handle whose ends are buried in the body, and a scale note against the 1 m reference height (the cans really are 0.37 m tall). plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphen in the slug-based ids this library requires. A de-hyphenated copy passes, three-check accepts the real ids, and all 6 survive the GLB reload.
About the Watering cans 3D model
Watering cans is a free low-poly 3D model from the Plant Shop and Greenhouse set. It measures 83 cm × 37 cm × 38 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,288 triangles across 13 meshes, with 6 named parts. Download the 82 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Watering cans 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 82 KB: 1,288 triangles, 2,563 vertices and 13 materials, modelled in metres at 83 cm × 37 cm × 38 cm.
- Can I animate Watering cans?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 6 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Watering cans 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
