How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Plinths for the Museum kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Museum kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Quiet halls of old things. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: marble white #f4f1ec, deep red #861313, brass #b28c34, slate #525e6f, marble white dark #d7cebc, deep red dark #430a0a, marble white light #f9f8f6, deep red light #c32222, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `collectionTheme` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Collection theme" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: the group is 2.02 m wide, 0.77 m deep and 1.10 m tall. The centre plinth is 1.10 m tall with a 0.45 m shaft and a 0.54 m toe block. The left plinth is 0.86 m tall and the right one is 0.66 m tall and slightly broader. The two side plinths are turned 9° inwards. The origin is at the bottom centre, every toe block rests flat on y = 0, and the label plates face +Z. The GLB has 732 triangles, carries no animation, and every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour (dark wood, marble white dark, marble white, deep red and brass at the default theme). The runtime's exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same colour name appears on several materials (21 in total, 5 distinct colours). Recolour by name. The label plates are blank brass with no text. Each stacked section sinks 2 mm into the one below, and each plate sits 2 mm into its shaft. These overlaps are deliberate butt joins, not floating gaps. Params are baked at their defaults and only change the model when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. count = 1 or 2 drops the right plinth, then the left one, and re-centres the rest. collectionTheme (the kit's 'Collection theme') picks the finish: below 0.33 is slate stone on soot black toes, 0.33–0.67 (default) is marble on dark wood, and above 0.67 is soot black lacquer with a warm white pad. All three finishes keep the brass plates. Only the default params were rendered and checked. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 4 warnings: the material count and duplicate materials (both from the per-mesh clones), non-indexed geometry (deliberate flat shading), and plates overlapping their shafts (deliberate). Its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no host requirements contract was supplied. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphen in the slug-based ids this library requires; with the ids substituted it passes. three-check accepts the real ids, and all 19 survive the GLB reload.

About the Plinths 3D model

Plinths is a free low-poly 3D model from the Museum set. It measures 2.0 m × 1.1 m × 77 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 732 triangles across 21 meshes, with 19 named parts. Download the 73 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Plinths 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 73 KB: 732 triangles, 3,636 vertices and 21 materials, modelled in metres at 2.0 m × 1.1 m × 77 cm.
Can I animate Plinths?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 19 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Plinths 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
