Rugs
A low-poly 2 × 1.4 m living-room rug with a mustard field, warm white border, sage teeth and a row of diamond motifs. One corner is kicked over to show the backing, and a spare sage runner lies rolled up on the back border.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Rugs for the Cozy Apartment kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Cozy Apartment kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A small lived-in city flat. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: warm white #f9f7f5, oak #8f693d, mustard #c39b22, sage #89a178, warm white dark #ddd2c6, oak dark #594126, warm white light #f9f7f6, oak light #b48f64, soot black #1b1b22, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `wallColour` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Wall colour" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 2.18 m wide (X, with fringe; 2.0 m rug) × 1.40 m deep (Z) × 0.19 m tall at the rolled runner. The rug pile is 16 mm thick. The origin is at the rug's bottom centre, everything rests on y = 0, and the long side faces +Z. The GLB has 1,452 triangles in 17 meshes. It is static and has no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a name can repeat; recolour by name. wallColour (the kit's 'Wall colour' knob) moves the rug field along the kit's wall ramp: warm white dark, sage, mustard (the default) or oak light. When the field is sage, the teeth and diamonds switch to mustard. rugLength (1.6–2.6 m) sets the length, and the width is always 0.7 × the length. cornerFold sets how far the front-right corner turns over: 0 is flat, 1 is about 172°. motifs sets the number of centre diamonds (2–5). The GLB bakes every param at its default; the params change the geometry only when the viewer rebuilds the scene, and only the defaults were rendered and checked. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 expected warnings: duplicate per-mesh palette materials, deliberately non-indexed geometry for flat facets, pattern layers overlapping the pile they sit on, and a 0.19 m height against the direction's 1 m reference. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because of its id regex; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 7 ids. Fix round 1 lowered the default fold from about 138° to 155°, because the upturned fringe looked like it was floating in the back view.
About the Rugs 3D model
Rugs is a free low-poly 3D model from the Cozy Apartment set. It measures 2.2 m × 18 cm × 1.4 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,452 triangles across 17 meshes, with 7 named parts. Download the 117 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Rugs 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 117 KB: 1,452 triangles, 4,356 vertices and 17 materials, modelled in metres at 2.2 m × 18 cm × 1.4 m.
- Can I animate Rugs?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 7 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Rugs 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
