Large cavern
A low-poly cutaway cavern about 24 m wide and 10 m tall: a thick stone dome opened at the front, with an underground pool, stalactites, stalagmites, glowing cyan crystal clusters and a wall torch inside.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Large cavern for the Cave System kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Cave System kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Tunnels, crystals and underground water. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: stone grey #757e8a, crystal cyan #20c6df, moss #55743e, torch amber #ec9c13, stone grey dark #525860, crystal cyan dark #168a9c, stone grey light #a3a5a8, crystal cyan light #67d4e4, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `crystalColour` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Crystal colour" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 23.7 × 19.0 m in plan including the floor apron (the rock dome itself is about 20 × 16 m) and 10.09 m tall. The bottom rests on y = 0, the origin is at the footprint centre and the front faces +Z, where the dome is cut away like a diorama: the front walls and front of the roof are removed along a tilted plane, and the broken section faces are stone grey light. From the back it reads as a closed mossy rock mound. The floor is closed underneath by a flat bottom cap. The GLB has 5,772 triangles in 22 meshes, is static and carries no animation clip; three-check's 6,062 includes the viewer's staging ground, which is not exported. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour. At the defaults 11 of the 12 colours are used; warm white only appears on crystal tips when crystalColour is high. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so some names repeat; recolour by name. Note that crystal cyan and crystal cyan dark are shared by the crystals and the pool water, so recolouring them shifts both. crystalColour (the kit's 'Crystal colour') slides each crystal along the ramp crystal cyan dark → crystal cyan → crystal cyan light, with tips one step lighter. caveWidth scales the whole cavern (height is half the width). stalactites sets how many hang from the surviving roof, and about half of them get a stalagmite below; crystalClusters sets how many clusters line the wall foot besides the big pool cluster and two wall clusters. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Only the defaults were rendered and checked. The viewer uses exposure 0.5 so the pale greys keep their tone; this does not affect the GLB. Crystals and the torch flame carry a mild emissive. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 warnings, all expected: material count (per-mesh duplicates), duplicate materials, non-indexed geometry used on purpose for hard flat facets, overlapping boxes for the nested shell, floor and pool meshes, and a scale warning because the 10 m cavern is far above the 1 m reference height. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 9 ids.
About the Large cavern 3D model
Large cavern is a free low-poly 3D model from the Cave System set. It measures 24 m × 10 m × 19 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 5,772 triangles across 22 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 427 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Large cavern 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 427 KB: 5,772 triangles, 17,316 vertices and 22 materials, modelled in metres at 24 m × 10 m × 19 m.
- Can I animate Large cavern?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 9 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Large cavern 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
