Raft
A low-poly log raft floating on a patch of dark underground water: seven lashed logs on three cross battens, a short mast hanging a cage lantern lit by a glowing crystal, a crate of mined crystals, a moss bedroll and a rope coil, with a long steering sweep at the stern. It comes with a seamless 6 s loop where the raft bobs, the sweep oar works on its crutch and the lantern swings.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Raft for the Cave System kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Cave System kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Tunnels, crystals and underground water. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: stone grey #757e8a, crystal cyan #20c6df, moss #55743e, torch amber #ec9c13, stone grey dark #525860, crystal cyan dark #168a9c, stone grey light #a3a5a8, crystal cyan light #67d4e4, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `crystalColour` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Crystal colour" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

- Raft
- Cave water (still base)
- Log deck (heaves, pitches and rolls at its waterline centre)
- Mast, arm and stays
- Crystal crate, bedroll and rope coil
- Crystal lantern (swings on its hook)
- Steering sweep (yaws and feathers on its crutch)
Note: Size: a 3.0 m × 1.9 m raft of seven 0.28 m logs; the mast stands 1.7 m above the battens and the model is 2.33 m tall overall. It floats on a still 3.1 × 5.7 m rounded patch of cave water (surface 0.35 m) that rests on y = 0 (origin at its bottom centre, bow toward +Z); the raft sits forward of centre so the steering sweep's blade stays over the water. crystalColour (the kit's 'Crystal colour') shifts the glowing lantern crystal and the crated crystals along the crystal cyan dark → crystal cyan → crystal cyan light ramp; raftLength (2.4–3.6 m), logCount (5–9), mastHeight (1.2–2.2 m) and oarSweep (stroke amplitude) reshape it. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults. Animation: one seamless 6 s clip ('scene-motion') — the deck heaves ±2 cm and pitches/rolls under 1.5° about its waterline centre, the sweep yaws and feathers about the top of its A-frame crutch (its only pivot), and the lantern swings from its hook at the mast arm tip; the water patch never moves. The GLB's static node pose is the t = 2 s pose (three-check exports after its determinism seek). The GLB has 2,310 triangles in 25 meshes; three-check's ~2.6k figure includes the viewer's staging ground, which is not exported. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour (10 of the 12; stone grey and stone grey light are unused); glowing crystals use the same names plus an emissive, and the exporter writes one material per mesh, so some names repeat — recolour by name. glb-lint reports 0 errors and only heuristic warnings (height vs a 1 m reference, material count, flat-shaded non-indexed primitives). plan-check rejects the hyphenated slug part ids the library mandates; a copy with the ids de-hyphenated passes, and three-check accepts the hyphenated ids.
About the Raft 3D model
Raft is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Cave System set. It measures 3.1 m × 2.3 m × 5.7 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,310 triangles across 25 meshes, with 7 named parts and a baked animation (6.0 s). Download the 261 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Raft 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 261 KB: 2,310 triangles, 6,930 vertices and 25 materials, modelled in metres at 3.1 m × 2.3 m × 5.7 m.
- Is Raft animated?
- Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (6.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Raft 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
