Jars

A low-poly cluster of three forgotten attic jars: a two-tone stoneware crock with a wooden lid, a tall glass preserving jar of amber fruit under a cloth cover tied with twine, and a black-lidded jam jar. Blank paper labels, dusty lids and cobwebs strung between them.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Jars for the Attic and Basement kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Attic and Basement kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Forgotten things above and below. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: dust brown #6b4a2e, cobweb grey #757e8a, bulb amber #ec9c13, faded colours #a6a6a6, dust brown dark #362517, cobweb grey dark #525860, dust brown light #9b704b, cobweb grey light #a3a5a8, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `dustAndCobwebLevel` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Dust and cobweb level" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 0.42 m wide (x), 0.23 m deep (z) and 0.26 m tall. The crock is 0.21 m across and 0.24 m tall to its knob, the tall jar 0.12 m across and 0.26 m tall under its cloth cover, and the jam jar 0.10 m across and 0.12 m tall. The origin is at the bottom centre, all three bases rest on y = 0, and the front faces +Z. The GLB has 2,620 triangles in 17 meshes, counted from the file (three-check's figure also counts the viewer's staging ground, which is not exported). It is static and has no animation clip. dustAndCobwebLevel sets the number and size of the dust patches on the three lid tops (1 to 4 each) and the cobwebs: one between the crock and the tall jar at every level (smaller at 0), a second to the jam jar from 0.35 and a third behind from 0.7. fillLevel raises the fruit and syrup in the tall jar and the jam in the jam jar. coverLength drops the jagged hem of the cloth cover from just under the twine (0) to below the shoulder (1). Both param extremes passed three-check. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults. Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour; 11 of the 12 kit colours are used (cobweb grey dark is not). The glass ('cobweb grey light') and cobweb film ('faded colours') are double-sided BLEND materials with an opaque mesh of the same name elsewhere (the strands use opaque 'warm white'). three.js's exporter writes one material per mesh, so names repeat; recolour by name. The labels are deliberately blank. The jam lid sits 1 mm above its rim and the labels 0.5 mm off the glass, so glb-lint flags them as detached; these gaps are intended, to prevent z-fighting. plan-check's part-id pattern rejects the hyphenated slug ids the brief requires; the plan passed plan-check with the hyphens removed and is otherwise unchanged. glb-lint: 0 errors. It warns on duplicate material names, non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, nested parts (contents in glass, cobwebs between jars), those two small gaps and the 1 m scale heuristic, which a 26 cm prop trips.

About the Jars 3D model

Jars is a free low-poly 3D model from the Attic and Basement set. It measures 42 cm × 26 cm × 23 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,620 triangles across 17 meshes, with 11 named parts. Download the 201 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Jars 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 201 KB: 2,620 triangles, 7,860 vertices and 17 materials, modelled in metres at 42 cm × 26 cm × 23 cm.
Can I animate Jars?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 11 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Jars 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
