Info screens

A low-poly, double-sided aquarium info kiosk. Two portrait screens sit back to back in a deep-blue housing and show clownfish, kelp and a depth gauge, with a tilted touch console at hand height and a wave crest on top.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Info screens for the Aquarium kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Aquarium kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Glass tunnels through blue water. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: deep blue #1b447e, coral orange #ed7e1d, glow green #3a883a, dark grey #525860, deep blue dark #0d223f, coral orange dark #af590e, deep blue light #2e67b8, coral orange light #eea668, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `seaRegion` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Sea region" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 0.80 m wide (X) by 0.58 m deep (Z, including the console) by 1.96 m tall. The housing is 0.60 x 0.16 m and the main screens are 0.46 x 0.62 m, with their bottom edge at 1.14 m. The console's front edge sits at 0.95 m. Front faces +Z, the origin is at the bottom centre and the model rests on y = 0. The exported model has 1,380 triangles in 29 meshes and is static, with no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour, and 10 of the 12 are used (coral orange dark and dark wood are not). The runtime's export clones materials per mesh, so the GLB has 29 material slots carrying those 10 names. Recolour by name. Screen content (water, kelp, fish, gauge, info card) is modelled flat geometry: no textures and no text. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the model when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. seaRegion (the kit's 'Sea region') moves both main screens from shallows to deep sea: the dark deep-water band grows from 12% to 72% of the water panel, the kelp shortens, and the depth-gauge marker slides from top to bottom. Both param extremes were rendered and passed three-check: all-max gives 1,910 viewer triangles and all-min gives 1,430. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 4 heuristic warnings: the per-mesh material clones, non-indexed geometry (deliberate flat shading), layered screen plates that overlap by design, and a material count above the direction's soft default. Its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no host requirements contract was supplied. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires. three-check accepts those ids, and all 8 survive the GLB reload.

About the Info screens 3D model

Info screens is a free low-poly 3D model from the Aquarium set. It measures 80 cm × 2.0 m × 58 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,380 triangles across 29 meshes, with 8 named parts. Download the 121 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Info screens 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 121 KB: 1,380 triangles, 4,140 vertices and 29 materials, modelled in metres at 80 cm × 2.0 m × 58 cm.
Can I animate Info screens?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 8 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Info screens 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
