Reed baskets
A low-poly set of three coiled Ancient Egyptian reed baskets: a tall lidded storage basket with a lapis band, an open two-handled basket heaped with gold grain, and a shallow tray of round loaves.

Left rail: colours and the 3 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Reed baskets for the Ancient Egypt kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Ancient Egypt kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Temples and work camps by the river. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: sand #d1bd94, lapis blue #2e67b8, gold #d0a225, palm green #3a883a, sand dark #ba9c5e, lapis blue dark #1f457a, sand light #e6ddcb, lapis blue light #6190d1, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `pyramidSizeAndCompletion` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Pyramid size and completion" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 0.83 m wide (X) × 0.84 m deep (Z) × 0.62 m tall. The storage basket is 0.33 m across at the belly and 0.42 m to the shoulder (0.62 m with lid and knob); the grain basket is 0.40 m across the rim and 0.24 m tall; the bread tray is 0.47 m across and 7.5 cm deep. The origin is at the bottom centre, every basket base rests on y = 0, and the front (bread tray) faces +Z. The GLB has 2,568 triangles in 20 meshes, is static and carries no animation clip; three-check's 2,858-triangle figure includes the viewer's staging ground, which is not exported. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour (6 of the 12 are used); the exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same name appears on several materials — recolour by name. pyramidSizeAndCompletion (the kit's 'Pyramid size and completion' knob) sets how high the grain pyramid rises above the open basket's rim, from a nearly level fill (1.5 cm) at 0 to a 20 cm peak at 1; it has no effect when basketCount is 1. storageHeight changes the tall basket's body height (coil count follows). basketCount drops the tray (2) and then the grain basket (1); the footprint recentres on the origin. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer; only the defaults were rendered and checked. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 expected heuristic warnings: material count above the direction's 10 and duplicate same-named materials (per-mesh export), deliberately non-indexed geometry for hard flat facets, nested sibling bounds (coils, caps and inner walls of one basket), and the lid and handles flagged 'detached' though the lid sinks 2 mm into the shoulder cap and the handle ends sink into the rim. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 8 ids.
About the Reed baskets 3D model
Reed baskets is a free low-poly 3D model from the Ancient Egypt set. It measures 83 cm × 62 cm × 84 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,568 triangles across 20 meshes, with 8 named parts. Download the 199 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Reed baskets 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 199 KB: 2,568 triangles, 7,704 vertices and 20 materials, modelled in metres at 83 cm × 62 cm × 84 cm.
- Can I animate Reed baskets?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 8 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Reed baskets 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
