Spiral stair

A half-turn segment of a stone spiral stair for the Wizard's Tower kit — wedge treads winding around a central newel column, a stepped outer kerb and a faceted brass handrail, with glowing rune stones marking both gates.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Spiral stair for the Wizard's Tower kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It is a modular piece that snaps on a 1 m grid: give it a length in whole metres and put the origin at its snapping end, stated in meta.notes. This is one part of the Wizard's Tower kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A crooked tower on a cliff, full of experiments. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: midnight blue #1d2448, deep violet #4b2a6b, lavender #8a6fb3, brass #b08d3c, aged gold #8a6a22, candle yellow #f2c94c, flame orange #e8833a, stone grey #6e6f78, dark stone #3e3f47, cliff slate #55606e, parchment #e7d7b1, oak brown #6b4a2f, dark wood #3d2a1c, moss green #5f7d4a, rune cyan #5fd3e6, soot black #1b1b22. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `towerHeight` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Tower height" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Real-world size ≈ 2.1 wide × 2.84 high × 1.05 m deep (default params); footprint snaps on a 2 m × 1 m grid cell. Origin is at the newel column base on the entry (snapping) end — the z = 0 face; the stair rises away from it through a half turn. To continue the climb, stack the next module rotated 180° about the column axis and raised by the segment rise (1.6 + 0.8 × towerHeight metres). towerHeight is the kit's 0–1 storey knob; 'hand' mirrors the winding for the opposite corner; 'rail' hides handrail + posts for against-wall installs; 'moss' sets tuft density. Material names in the GLB are the kit palette colour names for recolouring. glb-lint heuristic warnings are expected: treads embed into the column and the rune stones sit on the kerb ends (intentional joins), and flat shading keeps primitives unindexed.
