Telescope on a Swivel

A low-poly brass astronomer's telescope, about 1.7 m tall, on a dark wood tripod. The banded tapered tube, finder scope and eyepiece pan and tilt about a visible swivel pivot in a seamless 10 s loop.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

A brass astronomer's telescope about 1.6 m tall on a dark wood tripod: a long tapered brass tube with aged gold bands, a finder scope, an eyepiece, and a swivel head with a visible pivot. The tube slowly pans left and right and tilts up and down in a seamless 10 s baked loop, rotating exactly about the swivel head's pivot; the tripod stays still. This is one part of the Wizard's Tower kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction). Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: midnight blue #1d2448, deep violet #4b2a6b, lavender #8a6fb3, brass #b08d3c, aged gold #8a6a22, candle yellow #f2c94c, flame orange #e8833a, stone grey #6e6f78, dark stone #3e3f47, cliff slate #55606e, parchment #e7d7b1, oak brown #6b4a2f, dark wood #3d2a1c, moss green #5f7d4a, rune cyan #5fd3e6, soot black #1b1b22. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses (e.g. "brass", "dark wood") — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knobs: expose a param `magicGlow` (0–1, default 0.6) that scales every emissive magic element.

Note: 1,476 triangles, 6 materials named after Wizard's Tower palette colours, no textures. The baked 'scene-motion' clip animates only the swivel (pan ±14°) and tilt (±5.5° around the elevation) groups, both pivoting at (0, 1.30, 0); the tripod is static. Part ids use the short 'telescope.' prefix because the kit's id rule does not allow hyphens. magicGlow scales the emissive rune-cyan lenses; the rune cyan lens albedo is darkened to 45% so the hue holds under light. Params are baked at their defaults in the GLB, and the clip is baked at the default 30° elevation. glb-lint flags the yoke arms as 'detached' only because they sit in a separate group from the head ring they rest on.
