How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Swinging lights for the Wedding Venue kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Wedding Venue kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A garden ceremony and a party. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: white #f4f1ec, blush pink #e085a3, sage #89a178, gold #d0a225, white dark #d7cebc, blush pink dark #d14775, white light #f9f8f6, blush pink light #eec4d2, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `colourScheme` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Colour scheme" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Real-world size about 2.10 m wide x 2.39 m tall x 0.46 m deep at rest (the beam is 1.9 m long, the planters are 0.46 m square and the lanterns are 0.5 m tall). The lanterns swing up to about ±0.3 m front to back. The GLB has a seamless 6 s rigid-node loop: each lantern node's origin sits on the contact point of its gold eye hook, so the swing is a pure rotation about the hinge (front to back, plus a small shared side sway). The planters, posts, beam and garland never move. The rest pose is at t = 0. colourScheme swaps the palette colours used for the lantern metal and the flowers: below 0.33 gives blush pink dark metal with blush pink light and white light flowers, 0.33 to 0.66 (the default) gives gold metal with blush pink and white light flowers, and above 0.66 gives soot black metal with white light and blush pink light flowers. Material names are always kit palette names. The warm white lantern panels have a mild emissive glow. The exporter writes one material copy per mesh, so recolour by material name. Part ids drop the hyphens (weddingvenueswinginglights.*) because the kit's part-id format does not allow them. The ground disc and lights are viewer staging only and are not in the GLB.

About the Swinging lights 3D model

Swinging lights is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Wedding Venue set. It measures 2.1 m × 2.4 m × 67 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,468 triangles across 30 meshes, with 10 named parts and a baked animation (6.0 s). Download the 277 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Swinging lights 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 277 KB: 2,468 triangles, 6,948 vertices and 30 materials, modelled in metres at 2.1 m × 2.4 m × 67 cm.
Is Swinging lights animated?
Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (6.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Swinging lights 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
