How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Chairs for the Wedding Venue kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Wedding Venue kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A garden ceremony and a party. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: white #f4f1ec, blush pink #e085a3, sage #89a178, gold #d0a225, white dark #d7cebc, blush pink dark #d14775, white light #f9f8f6, blush pink light #eec4d2, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `colourScheme` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Colour scheme" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Real-world size at the defaults: 0.44 m wide, 0.50 m deep (including the sash bow and the bowed top rail) and 0.92 m tall, with the cushion top at 0.47 m. The front faces +Z, the origin is at the bottom centre of the four feet, and the soot black foot caps stand on y = 0. Static model with no animation clip, 1,580 triangles. seatHeight moves the seat and cushion. backHeight sets the overall height to the post finials. backRails asks for 2 to 4 ladder rails, but the build keeps rails at least 6.8 cm apart so the sash fits between them. With a high seat and a short back it shows fewer rails than asked, down to 2. The sash band always sits in the lower-middle rail gap. sashDrop sets the length of the two bow tails. colourScheme swaps palette colours: below 0.33 gives a white frame, a blush pink light cushion and a blush pink dark sash; 0.33 to 0.66 (the default) gives a gold frame, a white cushion and a blush pink sash; above 0.66 gives a dark wood frame, a warm white cushion and a sage sash. Material names are always kit palette names. The exporter writes one material copy per mesh, so recolour by material name. The gold is a flat matte colour, not metal. Meshes are non-indexed with per-face normals so the faceted look survives in any engine. Part ids drop the hyphens (weddingvenuechairs.*) because the kit's part-id format does not allow them. glb-lint's heuristic warnings are expected: duplicate 'gold' materials (one per mesh), non-indexed flat-shaded meshes, foot caps nested in the legs, and parts that touch through embedded joins rather than bounding boxes. The viewer stages the chair on a shadow catcher; ground and lights are viewer staging only and are not in the GLB.

About the Chairs 3D model

Chairs is a free low-poly 3D model from the Wedding Venue set. It measures 44 cm × 92 cm × 50 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,580 triangles across 7 meshes, with 7 named parts. Download the 118 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Chairs 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 118 KB: 1,580 triangles, 4,740 vertices and 7 materials, modelled in metres at 44 cm × 92 cm × 50 cm.
Can I animate Chairs?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 7 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Chairs 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
