Shop shell

A low-poly open-top supermarket building, ready to fill with aisles and checkouts. It has a checker-tiled sales floor inside white walls, a full-width glazed storefront with sliding entrance doors under a green fascia and canopy, stockroom swing doors, a side loading door and exposed roof beams with light strips.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Shop shell for the Supermarket kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Supermarket kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A full grocery store interior. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: white #f4f1ec, fresh green #3a883a, red #c32222, light wood #ac7d53, white dark #d7cebc, fresh green dark #235223, white light #f9f8f6, fresh green light #5db15d, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `brandColours` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Brand colours" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: the shop is 20 m wide × 16 m deep with 4.5 m walls. The fascia reaches 5.15 m and the entrance canopy projects 2.2 m. The footprint, canopy included, is about 20.9 m × 18.4 m (the loading-door drum on the right adds 0.4 m). The origin is the bottom centre of that footprint, so the building sits about 1.1 m behind the origin. It rests on y = 0 and the storefront faces +Z. The building is open-top on purpose: it is a shell for the kit's interior pieces, which go on the tiled floor (finished floor level 0.12 m). The roof beams sit 4.05–4.4 m up, with light strips hanging below them. The GLB has 2,304 triangles across 39 draw calls (merged per part and colour) and no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour and all 12 are used at the default. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same colour name appears on several materials: recolour by name. The glazing is opaque soot black, not transparent. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. brandColours (the kit's 'Brand colours') works in steps: below 0.2 the shell is neutral (cream band and fascia, grey canopy); from 0.2 the band, fascia and canopy turn fresh green; from 0.45 red pinstripes are added; from 0.75 the stockroom doors turn red and a green band runs around the inside walls. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings. Two cover the material count, both caused by the per-mesh materials. One flags overlaps where bands, frames and doors are deliberately embedded in walls. One flags two parts as detached: the coping and the fascia cap, which rest on the wall and fascia tops. The last compares the height with the direction's 1 m reference. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires. three-check accepts those ids, and all 9 survive the GLB reload.

About the Shop shell 3D model

Shop shell is a free low-poly 3D model from the Supermarket set. It measures 21 m × 5.2 m × 18 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,304 triangles across 39 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 151 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Shop shell 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 151 KB: 2,304 triangles, 4,252 vertices and 39 materials, modelled in metres at 21 m × 5.2 m × 18 m.
Can I animate Shop shell?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 9 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Shop shell 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
