Car park tiles
A low-poly 4 × 4 m supermarket car park tile with two white-lined parking bays on dark faceted asphalt, concrete wheel stops with red end caps, and a brand-green click-and-collect bay with a white entry chevron. Its edges are flat and its border lines split half-and-half, so copies tile seamlessly in every direction.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Car park tiles for the Supermarket kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. Make it a ground piece on an exact 4 × 4 m footprint with flat edges at y = 0 that tile seamlessly with its neighbours in every direction; origin at the tile centre. This is one part of the Supermarket kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A full grocery store interior. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: white #f4f1ec, fresh green #3a883a, red #c32222, light wood #ac7d53, white dark #d7cebc, fresh green dark #235223, white light #f9f8f6, fresh green light #5db15d, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `brandColours` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Brand colours" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: exactly 4.00 × 4.00 m footprint and 0.145 m tall. The asphalt surface is at 0.05 m and the wheel stops reach 0.145 m. The origin is at the tile centre and the bottom rests on y = 0. Bays run along Z, with their open ends and the front facing +Z. There are two 2.0 × 4.0 m bays, which is compact-car size: real UK and US bays are about 2.4 × 4.8 m, but 4 m tiles only split evenly into 2 m bays. How it tiles: the asphalt border ring is exactly flat, and only interior facets dip (up to 14 mm, seeded). Lines on the tile edges are painted at half width on each side, so neighbours in X continue the bay row and neighbours in Z form a new row, each sharing one full-width line. The GLB has 422 triangles in 6 meshes, is static and has no animation clip. Every material is named after its kit palette colour, so you can recolour by name. Only 6 of the 12 kit colours are used, because a car park tile needs no wood or mid grey. The GLB is baked at the default params, and only the defaults were rendered and checked. brandColours (the kit's 'Brand colours') sets how many bays are painted brand green: 0 at 0–0.24, 1 at 0.25–0.74 (default) and 2 at 0.75–1. lineWidth, stopInset and wheelStops rebuild the tile in the viewer only. glb-lint: 0 errors and 4 heuristic warnings, all expected: non-indexed flat-shaded geometry; wheel-stop concrete and red caps flagged as overlapping because they share one bounding row; bay lines flagged as 'detached' because they are paint embedded in the asphalt rather than reaching y = 0; and height below the direction's 1 m reference, because this is a ground tile. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids (its regex allows no hyphen). With hyphen-free ids the same plan passes. three-check accepts those ids, and all 5 survive the GLB reload.
About the Car park tiles 3D model
Car park tiles is a free low-poly 3D model from the Supermarket set. It measures 4.0 m × 14 cm × 4.0 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 422 triangles across 6 meshes, with 5 named parts. Download the 38 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Car park tiles 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 38 KB: 422 triangles, 1,266 vertices and 6 materials, modelled in metres at 4.0 m × 14 cm × 4.0 m.
- Can I animate Car park tiles?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 5 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Car park tiles 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
