Tunnel mouth
A low-poly subway tunnel portal: a white-tiled headwall with a dark arched opening ringed in yellow-and-black hazard blocks, and a short tunnel barrel behind it. A track stub with rails and a covered third rail runs out of the mouth, with a maintenance walkway, wall lamps and a signal head.

Left rail: colours and the 3 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Tunnel mouth for the Subway Station kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Subway Station kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A busy underground stop. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: tile white #f4f1ec, safety yellow #ffdd33, steel #7e8c9a, line colour #988e81, tile white dark #d7cebc, safety yellow dark #e6bf00, tile white light #f9f8f6, safety yellow light #ffea80, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `lineColour` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Line colour" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 7.9 m wide × 7.0 m tall × 7.7 m deep. The clear opening is 4.6 m wide with the arch crown at 5.0 m, a typical single-track metro bore. The barrel runs 5 m behind a 0.8 m headwall, and the track stub sticks out 1.6 m in front. The origin is at the bottom centre on y = 0, and the portal faces +Z. Track gauge is 1.435 m. The barrel is closed at its far end, so the opening reads as a dark tunnel. The GLB has 2,080 triangles across 22 meshes (merged per part and colour) and no animation clip. Normals are baked flat (non-indexed). Every material is named exactly after its kit palette colour; 10 of the 12 kit colours are used (safety yellow dark and tile white light are not). The exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same colour name appears on several materials: recolour by name. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. lineColour (the kit's 'Line colour') sets the height of the line-colour band above the arch (0.15–0.60 m). glb-lint reports 0 errors and 6 heuristic warnings: material count and duplicate names (from the per-mesh materials), non-indexed geometry (deliberate flat shading), deliberate embedded overlaps, the cable tray counted as 'detached' because it is embedded in the barrel lining (which belongs to another part), and height compared with the direction's 1 m reference. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires; three-check accepts those ids, and all 8 survive the GLB reload. Under the bright sun rig, the safety yellow reads paler than its hex.
About the Tunnel mouth 3D model
Tunnel mouth is a free low-poly 3D model from the Subway Station set. It measures 8.0 m × 7.0 m × 7.7 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,080 triangles across 22 meshes, with 8 named parts. Download the 165 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Tunnel mouth 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 165 KB: 2,080 triangles, 6,240 vertices and 22 materials, modelled in metres at 8.0 m × 7.0 m × 7.7 m.
- Can I animate Tunnel mouth?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 8 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Tunnel mouth 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
