Weights
A two-tier gym dumbbell rack with eight pairs of hex dumbbells that get heavier along the rack. One pair is out of the rack, lying on the floor in front of it.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Weights for the Sports Centre kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Sports Centre kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Courts, pool and gym. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: court blue #2e67b8, wood #7d5736, white #f4f1ec, energy orange #ed7e1d, court blue dark #1f457a, wood dark #47321f, court blue light #6190d1, wood light #ac7d53, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `sportOnCourt` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Sport on court" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: a commercial two-tier dumbbell rack, 1.84 m long (X), 0.97 m tall (Y) and 0.71 m deep (Z) with the dumbbells in it. The frame is 0.68 m deep. The pair on the floor reaches 0.84 m in front of the origin. The origin is at the bottom centre of the rack frame, with the floor pads resting on y = 0, and the front of the rack faces +Z. Both trays lean forward 12°, and every hex head rests flat-face-down on the rails or the floor. Head sizes come from the dumbbells' masses: eight sizes from 2.5 to 25 kg, rounded to 2.5 kg, at the defaults. The exported model has 2,408 triangles in 78 meshes. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour. 7 of the 12 are used (wood, wood dark, wood light, warm white and dark wood are not). The exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same colour name appears on several materials: recolour by name. The model is static, with no animation clip. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the model when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. sportOnCourt (the kit's 'Sport on court') lifts dumbbells out of the rack onto the floor in front: none at 0, one pair at 0.5 (the default), two pairs at 1. Their rack slots are left empty. The sports-centre-weights.floor node is always present and is empty at 0. pairs, tiers and heaviestKg change the rack length and the head sizes. three-check passed at the extremes: 6 pairs, 1 tier, 40 kg, sport 1; 3 pairs, 2 tiers, 10 kg, sport 0; 6 pairs, 2 tiers, 40 kg, sport 1. The largest setting reaches about 3,700 triangles and slightly exceeds the direction's 100 draw-call budget in the viewer. glb-lint: 0 errors and 3 warnings. Two are about material count and duplicates, both caused by the per-mesh materials. One flags sibling overlaps where handles and end plates are deliberately seated into the heads. Its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no host requirements contract was supplied. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires. three-check accepts those ids, and all 6 survive the GLB reload.
About the Weights 3D model
Weights is a free low-poly 3D model from the Sports Centre set. It measures 1.8 m × 97 cm × 1.2 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,408 triangles across 78 meshes, with 6 named parts. Download the 240 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Weights 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 240 KB: 2,408 triangles, 4,112 vertices and 78 materials, modelled in metres at 1.8 m × 97 cm × 1.2 m.
- Can I animate Weights?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 6 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Weights 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
