Planters
A low-poly rooftop garden planter set. It has a raised timber trough of stacked boards with dark corner posts and a cap rail, filled with soil, tall orange flowers and silver herb bushes, plus two terracotta pots at its end. Game-ready at 1,812 triangles.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Planters for the Rooftop District kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Rooftop District kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Life above the streets. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: brick red #c32222, tar grey #757e8a, sunset orange #ed7e1d, water-tower brown #6b4a2e, brick red dark #821717, tar grey dark #525860, brick red light #db5757, tar grey light #a3a5a8, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `skylineHeight` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Skyline height" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at the defaults: 1.64 m wide (the 1.2 m trough plus the pots) × 0.56 m deep × 1.24 m tall to the top bloom. The trough's cap rail is 0.63 m high. The origin is at the bottom centre, the trough feet and pot bases rest on y = 0, and the front faces +Z. skylineHeight (the kit's 'Skyline height') sets how tall the flowers grow above the soil: 0.35 m at 0, 0.6 m at the default 0.5, and 0.85 m at 1. length, boards and pots rebuild the set in the viewer. The GLB is baked at the default params, and only the defaults were rendered and checked. Plant placement is seeded (seed 7), so it is the same every time. The model is static and has no animation clip. Every material is named after its kit palette colour, so you can recolour by name. Some colour names appear on more than one mesh. 9 of the 12 colours are used; tar grey, mid grey and warm white are not. The palette has no green, so the foliage uses the kit's dark red and silver greys. Geometry is flat-shaded and non-indexed. The viewer uses exposure 0.55 rather than the direction's 1.05 so the orange keeps its hue; this does not affect the GLB. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings, all expected: per-mesh duplicate material names (14 instances of 9 colours), non-indexed geometry, nested plant pieces overlapping, and the soil flagged as detached even though it sits inside the trough and rests on its floor board. plan-check's part-id regex rejects the hyphenated slug this library requires; three-check accepts those ids, and all 6 survive the GLB reload.
About the Planters 3D model
Planters is a free low-poly 3D model from the Rooftop District set. It measures 1.6 m × 1.2 m × 56 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,812 triangles across 14 meshes, with 6 named parts. Download the 140 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Planters 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 140 KB: 1,812 triangles, 5,436 vertices and 14 materials, modelled in metres at 1.6 m × 1.2 m × 56 cm.
- Can I animate Planters?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 6 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Planters 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
